This album was the best thing I'd seen in DECADES when my wife brought it home new. This lady is gifted, writes breathtaking songs that go right to the core of you, and has a knack for upbeat, tongue-in-cheek humor I haven't heard in a very, very long time. Unbelievable range of material. I could go on....

when this CD first came out, a friend of mine wrote a letter to a magazine criticizing their bad review because he loved the CD,...happens that Mary Chapin was playing in a town close by, she saw his letter, called him and invited to her show for a meet and greet, it was a great night and I got to go with him, she is a wonderful person.

Just lost a 5 year old (car accident). He is gone and there is nothing I can do about it. He was there now he is gone I just cant explain the pain. For the first time I can feel myself dying as the days go by.

I have thought of losing someone close, and what I would like to hear.... Not much comes to mind. No one knows your pain, but you can't give up... Please don't! I would like to thank you for your words. It has been just over one month to the day that he was taken form us all. Everyday is still a struggle and I still weep for him hoping that it is just a dream. But I know there is no cure for this ailment and feel that if I stop crying I have accepted it which I know I cant.

You said the pain doesn't go away and you're right - it doesn't.

But it does get better, more manageable over time. Keep talking to friends and family and reaching out to others. It will help you heal.

Losing a young child is the hardest thing and there is no answer why. But you'll see him again - count on it.

I remember I use to take my family to a lake to go fishing and we spent the night there.The night was so calm and so quiet you can hear the waves hit the shore and the frogs making sounds.I crank up this song that it absorb the lake sounds!I had a few beers and I was sitting in my chiar just taking in this great song!
