  • Nicola Tesla claimed he received messages from outer space.

No one bothered to ask him how or when or what he he meant?

i doubt he was losing his mind.

  • @mercanaries3 You doubt he was losing his mind, why because his claims are so reasonable? Sorry but anyone claiming to hear voices probably is losing their minds, unless you have some reason to believe that aliens were contacting him other than him being a genius. Just because he was smart doesn't mean he was sane.

  • trying to communicate with Intelligent species is like someone using morse code trying to communicate through the internet at someone sending instant messages.

  • Just because we MIGHT be the first species on earth with technology that doesn't really mean much to me.. Consider the time it takes for any and our species to evolve then consider that age of the Earth and then the likely age of the Universe.

Know the size of the solar system? Universe?

Aliens exist... There are several species that are much much much more advanced than us.

  • @pokeshmon If you think about old cultures, they said about Gods coming down from the heavens...If we think about it...That could just mean aliens coming down from stars...Afterall, 'God' can just mean mystical and great creature...Like people call people a god of something becuase of how amazing they are...And now that we have found particals that go fast then lightspeed...

  • not that anyone knows for sure but really think of it this way there are billions if not more stars in our galaxy which most of them have planets orbiting them and there are billions of galaxies in the universe and we are the only form of intellegent life? it's againts the odds to say there isn't others.

  • If you know the statistics you know we are almost indefinitely not alone.

  • there is water on mars... your argument is invalid

  • @SporeFan01234 there was water on mars.

  • @kirza94 ice

  • @SporeFan01234 you said water O_o plus ice is water really anyway :)

  • @kirza94 Yes there was, look it up. There is massive evidence of water having been on mars. Plus, simply the known existence of ice currently on Mars should be enough of an indicator...

  • @assbitchfucky read my comment again... i said there was water on mars.

  • @kirza94 Oh sorry, I was responding to someone else and must have clicked your by accident.

  • @assbitchfucky ah, okay np

  • @assbitchfucky there is water on mars. look at its polar cap. its white rich in frozen water. it would not be white if it was not water...

  • @bomberZee There's actually more, alot more

  • Even if we get alien radio signals by the time they get our reply the civilization may already be extinct or moved to a different planet.

  • "Who can blame us for trying". Well I can, cause SETI costs a SHITTON of money, goverment money that could be used for better things.

  • @Lillie1986

    I WANNA KNOW DAMMIT! :D

  • @GuitarMannnnnn So do I but its very very very unlikely that SETI will answer that question.

  • @Lillie1986

Eventually, we'll find life. I mean come on, there's already some compelling evidence for bacteria on Mars.

  • @GuitarMannnnnn Yea that wasnt my point though. We might find life on other planets but SETI wont do it for us :P

  • @Lillie1986

Well, the more organizations that are motivated to do so, the more likely we are to find life; right?

  • @GuitarMannnnnn Not if they all do it in the same way

  • @Lillie1986

That's the thing though, they don't. SETI would be receiving signals to find life, but space exploration programs could have us land on Mars to possibly discover this 'bacteria'. Those are two different methods of finding extraterrestrial life. One of them will succeed sooner or later if there are aliens.

  • @GuitarMannnnnn Exactly my point, which is why I think SETI is a waste of money and time.

  • @Lillie1986

??? Because it is ONE of the organizations that may discover alien life? I'm confused here.

  • @GuitarMannnnnn no because SETIs methods are EXTREMELY unlikely to find life, as theyre searching for radiosignals.

  • @Lillie1986

That's your opinion.. You don't know how likely it is that there are advanced civilizations out there who are capable of radio-transmission. So how can you deem it "EXTREMELY" unlikely?

  • @GuitarMannnnnn I didnt say there wasnt, I said its so extremely unlikely that we will hear it

  • @Lillie1986

Again, you don't know that for sure, perhaps there's a civilization 3/4 way across the universe who's radio signals may reach us any moment in the near future.. Who are you to say that hearing radio signals from the obviously vast, and locally habitable universe is unlikely at all? You don't know, and I don't know.. but it would be madness for either one of us to propose the discontinuation of SETI based on our vague and empty opinions on life in space.

  • @GuitarMannnnnn I think the video youre commenting about displays why its unlikely.

Because the radiosignal needs to be pointed exactly this way, something thats basicly impossible unless the aliens are purposely aiming at us. Unfortunately weve only been sending out radiosignals into space for the last 70-80 years, and theres no stars that close to us that has planets thats likely to support life.

  • @Lillie1986

Well, radio waves travel outwards spherically... I really don't believe it's anything like throwing a dart.. If we are within a radius of alien radio-transmission, then we will receive the signal. These planets aren't too far away. We have recently sent a probe to mars that has already detected 4000+ planets in the habitable zone of their own planetary solar systems. There's a chance that any of these planets contain life..

  • @GuitarMannnnnn

Except that we have only found 565 extrasolar planets TOTAL, not 4000+ in habitable zones.

  • @TheKingOnPaper

Hahahahahahahaa... sorry about that. I guess I added a zero in my excitement,, *d-oh*

  • At this point I really think this question is quite stupid. There is no way in HELL we are alone. Just given the scale of our own galaxy. let alone the entire universe, is so huge that the very idea that we are the only inteligent lifeform in this massive space is completely retarted.

  • @NINJAinTIGHTS I agree, even though we still dont know how life can begin. It seems so unlikely of the trillions of stars out there that it could only happen once. Hell, the universe probable expands a billion times further than we currently think it does, and a billion times smaller within the atom. I wouldnt be surprised if millions of distant astronomical objects hosted exotic life forms.

  • @yours12342 Yep its really odd how some people in the scientific community still say that they are unsure if life can emerge on other planets. Where the hell did these guys get their degree from XD. Heck I'd even wager that there are other intelligent life forms in our own galaxy let alone more basic life forms. Space is kinda big guys so don't underestimate it! :D

  • You'd be better off looking for intelligent life on Earth first, lol

  • @aethir86 debatable

  • lol um i see life as a game think a bout it lol why is are earth the only one and what do we do we get money work go on sites internet all this shit is like a video game lol how do we not know were being played for who we are and people say were like people were made 20000 years or soe think how do thay know words and languages are made up so like say if some one was 1 years of age and there english and thay go to france thay learn french thay pick up on it were just made up its load of shit
