  • Yo thats not funny I am from Peru

  • the longest 3 minutes of my life

  • I was in the earthquake :(

  • GODZILLA

aunque no sea peruano Viva peru¡

  • for those who don't know spanish: the people in the video couldn't get out of there, because they were filming in the eight floor of the building... the 8th floor guys... you can only pray...

    i'll never forget that day...

  • @x3lldanierallsanllx3 , If it was hard too get down from a second floor it i could be imposible

  • i remember that day like it was yesterday i was home alone with my little brother, when the earhqueake began the first thing that came through my mind was to get out of the house. And i can only descrive it like it was the end of the world, lights out, people yelling, crying..it felt like the ocean waves were under us and like we were surfing or something like that. It was pretty intense..

  • Why r u inside the house, pray outside unless you want to be in the rubble....

  • The TV reporter was making an interview to Jorge Cox, president of the local Elvis fanclub when the earthquake started.

  • I rememeber this earthquake in Lima. Terrifying, my mom and younger sister were on the 3rd floor when it happened.

Next thing I knew everything started shaking and my mom yelling for us to go downstairs, we run into my cousin and nephews and outside was a total nightmare. I was already praying out loud, wishing "Let no bad happen!" Scariest moments of my entire life.

  • When you start praying fiercely, I think you're freaking out.

  • Dumb bitches don't know actions do more than prayer

  • @DANKandBLUES obviously you never been in a real earthquake when it starts going theirs really nothing you could do theirs no safe place ...

  • Man that brings me back to Northridge, back in 1994. It was terrifying, and I can sympathize with others who have been in quakes, they are natures equalizer along with the hurricanes/typhoons, tornadoes, tsunamis, and other natural disasters that we have absolutely no control over. We should all be prepared for the eventual big one, it is only a matter of time.

  • i know it seems messed up and all, but i quiet enjoy earthquakes. like the lil sound of things shaking everywhere and the lil adreniline/scared rush i get.. i don't know though. thats just me

  • @Mareeeeuhh i used to like earthquakes too, till that day.

  • More than 2 minutes, indeed

  • Look at how calm and composed the women are compared to the nervous man. Women generally do much better than men do under stress. It is in woman's nature to call on someone else to help, including God, in times of duress...

  • It's game over man!! The quakes are getting closer to northern USA! !!!

  • @2doble03 aprende ingles pues cholo

  • @Vertigo190 mas adelante ahora no hay tiempo

  • man, those lady's are praying to the virgin Mary, they're just repeating the hail Mary. Poor people, but its crazy how we forget about God.

  • Has anyone seen 2012?

  • its happening man!!!

  • ive been there before when i was 13.... i was in stantly converted to god... i am praying for you all right now

  • how long did this last?

  • QUOTE FROM THE DESCRIPTION

"Shaking lasted atleast 1.5 minutes. The largest shaking towards the end. The women who seemed like they were freaking out were actually praying feircly. "

Why anyone NEVER reads the description...

  • about 3 minutes or so, i dont remember so well

  • Chupacabras?

  • Yeah, it's very scary situation.. I can feel the fear just by listening the prayers.

  • oe imbesil q chucha t pasa t apuesto q tu isiste lo mismo cojudo...

  • @george980575226 concuerdo contigo...

  • oh my. If I was there, I would have been freaking out, shouting like a hungry beast and running to the nearest exit. SCARY! :))

  • That must have been terrifying. Those poor women praying, must have been so scared.

  • @TheRubiarose It was, especialy cuz it was at night and lights were going on and of and in some parts of lima there were flashes of lighs... WORST MINUTE IN MY LIFE!

  • That's what you get for talking smack about peruvians...

  • This footage was filmed when a local TV reporter was making an special broadcast about the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley death. That's why you can see lot of Elvis pictures and stuff in the walls.

Note the date of the earthquake: August 15th

    Elvis death: August 16th

  • You should be ashamed of yourself.

  • God bless peruvian brothers.

  • And it's the 8th floor (the reporter says)

  • Next earthquake in Central Peru. See more than 3000 world science earthquake forecasts.

  • si es real!!!!

  • @badajod IM PERUVIAN AND I CAN TELL that was real... it is not a dramatization ... he is a real reporter in lima

  • they're praying but not escaping of the building ¬¬

  • Amen if only all people had the fear of God in them I would do that to

  • the worst you can do in an earthquake is escape.

  • They were on the 14th floor

  • they're saying things like "please forgive or sins" or "we are sinners". peruvians talk very fast, and they are HUGELY religious. I dont blame them.

  • Actually, they are praying "The Our Father ( Who art in Heaven...)", and they are talking so fast because they are in panic.

  • they are praying!.......i remember that day... :(

    horrible!!!

  • This was the sacryies moments! In peru's life.

    That's good that they prayed..

So stop saying dumm things about the woman.. They did the right thing

  • @xchunksx amen

  • NiteOwl1224 ... and you sound like a BITCH

  • sorry bitch

  • Why stupid women they were praying!

Yea and the quakes are scary!

  • pochron88 YEAHHH because you are the big Man, asshole

  • That is a lot of Elvis memorabilia.

  • eso fue eterno....

  • They were in the 8th floor. Dramatic moments...

  • Oh my God! Mother nature can be a bitch!

  • Excuse my language.

  • Yeah and that's because of us... all of us...

  • Comment removed

  • grosero

  • GO OUTSIDE OR UNDER A TABLE !

  • Rock n' Roll is here to stay. Thats for sure

  • Sorry about my english... I was typing so fast I didn't realize those mistakes (apologies are not for those two sick stupids)

  • wtf?? why are you laughing?? thats not fucking funny is the worst shit you could feel when you dont even know if your going to die...

  • That's so irresponsable for you to say! If you don't know what it's like you shouldn't have written that, because if you had experienced an earthquake before, you would've reacted as well as they did or even worst.

  • You sick bastard... how do you dare say you're peruvian and talk about your people like that?... Well, don't matter where you are now it's pretty clear they've filled your head up with SHIT! Yeah, SHIT.

  • Yeah shit! yeah! dumb ass

Me das lástima...

How sad, I would understand it from others -cause they would be ignorants, but you are peruvian... I feel so sorry for you...

  • hey that was no funny i was there and i was very scared 2:00 minutes that i will never forget

  • Uou are peruvian and yet so stupid. Please change that name of yours because If you can't understand the reality of your own country

I didn't get scared, so I have to calmed down during the earthquake to a little children and his scared mother. It would've been stupid to laugh at their faces

or a the faces of the relatives of the 500 people dead in that erthquake

  • the worst thing is to be on a tall building... you can't use the elevator and the ladders shake so it's really dangerous to go down....

  • foreal.. and they said they were on the 8th floor.. hella sucks

  • It's going to be almost a year since we had it. It last two minutes and it was 7.9 in ritcher scale. It was at some level scary, and it happened in Pisco, 200 miles away from where I was (Lima). Now specialists say it's our turn... Just have to be prepaired and stay calmed: key ingreidients to survive... there were earthquakes in Nevada? that's brand new info for me...

  • dude that sucks i wuz in an earthquake in reno, nevada literally two days ago. i was playin in a jazz festival the day after it happened. i wish i got video of it cause it lasted for about half a minute.

  • looks lke here is very scared i would noe i was there but i live in canada

  • Whats your point? I'm sure it happened the day after allot of people's birthdays. Mount st helens erupted the same day i was born. Allot of people are born every day, so theres nothing weird, or "funny" about historic events happening on your b-day, especially not the day after.

  • lol foreals what a faget

  • How long did it last? Seems like a while!

  • 2 minutes!!! horribleeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The longer shake lasted about two minutes.

  • shake rattle & Elvis

  • Rock 'n Roll Baby! And hey, put those damn pictures straight - you're on camera - bad commercial for his shop!

  • Elvis is Sol

  • Elvis safe us!!!!

  • AHAHAHAHA

  • diegito178,hahahahah! your comment was funny

  • because of all the Elvis pic's on the wall

whole lot of rock n roll baby

  • That's just terrifying

MI FIRST (AND I HOPE MY LAST) EARTHQUAKE

  • I remember that my mom taught me that pair..

Man I wish I could have been with my grandmother and family in Peru when that happends, it sucks that I was stuck here in U.S and all I could do was talk to them on the phone and panic since my grandmother lives in Ica, Peru and my rest of my family lives in Lima, Peru

  • dang she's praying fast!

  • praying into thin air...

  • yes it was it was like 7.5 or something and if you look closely you will see the lamp and the pictures shaking and moving, and if you didn't look at the news there were a lot of people that where left with no shelter, water, food, houses, and how many people died

  • Gosh... Your ignorant.

I was in Miraflores on vacation at that time and I can tell you that this was defenitely an earthquake. Luckily I wasn't in the epicentre - Pisco, Chincha, Ica etc... But it was 8.0 and the strongest one in History.

So before you speak, get informed.

  • do u think am ignorant?

  • Yes, my message was for you.

  • It was 7.7 and it wasn't the strongest in history.

There was one 170 years ago in Callao that was 9.0.

And destroyed all of the city of Callao.

SO please get your facts straight.

  • Listen buddy, my facts are 100% accurate and it was 8.0 not 7.7; Don't try to argue for no reason.

I was there, it was strong, 8.0, and the rest is history.

  • The strongest earthquake in known history was in Chile 1960. It was 9.5 on the richter scale.

Also the richter scale was invented in 1935 so how can you know that Callao's 170 year old earthquake was 9.0 in the not yet invented richter scale?

Do a little more reseach, the both of you.

  • Listen buddy, no need for you to get involved.

If you read CLOSELY, I meant the strongest in PERUVIAN History.

  • 8.2... that's the true.

  • peru apocalyto

  • i wish i could speak spanish

  • It's never late to learn.

  • can u teach me

  • its not that hard to learn, and its really useful

  • Pray is the best thing you can do, and then act about it. orar es la mejor cosa uno puede hacer antes tomar accion no importa sea 10 segundos o mientras corres

  • lamento romper tu burbuja, pero has vivido engañado toda tu vida

  • lol i was on that earhquake

  • bien dicho cafesargazo
