@nevers4yforever Brad Pitt wasn't nominated that year but he's there. It's unusually but it can happen 'cause the roundable was done before the nominations came out. They thought Brad could be nominated and had invited him.

Funny how the 2 Americans say that a film career is not an option because of where they grew up. Yet the Spaniards, Brit and Aussie don't say a word about how they struggled despite being from countries (spesh the cate and pene) with a huge movie making industry. Funny that.

@hilsnchad Actually Kate was nominated in the 2008 year, the award ceremonies are usually in the beginning of the year, so the dates are weird. But not all these people were nominated this particular year. Marion Cotillard won it (rightfully so) in 2007, but she probably wasn't here because at this point her English wasn't very strong.

@Museleaders Actually, Marion Cotillard was won the oscar in 2008 at the 80th academy award ceremony that is why she is at the 2008 oscar roundtable along with Daniel Day-Lewis who also won that year. Kate Winslet was nominated in 2007 for Little Children but that year Helen Mirren won for the Queen.
