Really its so true in the past 10 years country music has went down hill. Its all this pop/rock/rap with only a small amout of country. I miss Johnnycash and buck owens. Somday mabe country music will return to its roots. Reply if u agree
@jonnycashman100 Yeah, but if there was even just more country in country music, it would be okay. I like all types of music, and I think it'd be fabulous if there was a mixture of different genres in country, but the predominant one needs to be country's roots. :)
HaHa! This song is HILARIOUS but it's sooo true! Country Music has gone downhill since 2000. I LOVE authentic Country Music and this comment is coming from a 28yr old Brooklyn, New Yorker with as Heavy of a Northern Accent as Country Music Singer Neal McCoy (one of my FAVORITE Country Music Singers) has a Southern Accent. :)
I don't even listen to country radio at all anymore. It's terrible and it has been for about the last ten years. This is coming from a country music fan who's 27. I am a big fan of country music from about tthe mid 1980's to the mid to late 1990's. IMO it all started to go downhill around the late 90's with songs like "This Kiss" and "That Don't Impress Me Much." That's when I realized something had changed and not for the better.
A few songs that mix genres nowadays are good. The rest, and I put it bluntly but honestly, suck. Most of the new "country" singers ought to be labeled "pop." I grew up listening to a wide variety of music, country, rock, oldies, etc., and I like, as a whole, most anything but pop and rap. Pop is too emo and rap... well, almost every single (rare) rap song I like is old, stuff my cousin listens to, and he's four years older than me. He doesn't like the newer rap (or any pop) either.
the 50s-80s now that was REAL MUSIC

@jonnycashman100 I hope so too. But this is what most of country is now. I still enjoy it even though I do miss the old stuff.

I'll take the twin fiddle and pedal steel guitar over any pop/disco/rap/rock-country crossover
