I guarantee you they exist! I am one of them, currently pursuing an innovation in shopping carts that should get rid of plastic bags in supermarkets (for dealing with the environmental disaster that is plastic bags) and an innovation in composters which should make composting a viable method for waste disposal for anyone who owns a kitchen (increases in composting will cuts the size of landfills, helps local agriculture and can even help prevent global warming).

Corporations are leaving the US, found bigger fish to fry. The solution to this problem that seems likely, is that the Federal Govt. should move to make US regions self sustaining by the implementation of a social security New Deal. This would put people back to work, and would create an interesting database or foundation to build upon.
