  • What a killer guitar solo!

  • NBC Midnight Special - 1977 ?

  • Dude took the easy road on the solo - where's the wah wah peddle pussy?!

  • this song is so true to heart,m

  • I remember listening to the best of Bread over and over tears rolling down as I sat alone and forgotten by all my family in a home ,I was just 13

  • i was 12 and remember sitting in my neighbor basement

  • So I hear the guiatr player on stage is..... Dean Parks....! I was always convinced Larry played this also live..... Sorry Dean! ;-)

  • if you look at "she s the only one- live" you see that griffin is not the guitar player and that larry plays the bass.... I dont get it.... ?

  • who plays the solo? Larry plays bass I see...

  • @therealcaesar the guitar solo is from dean parks. he is not an official bread member,

larry played on the recording (1972). dean parks was a studio musician,en helped out

    on live concerts.

  • the album is called "guitar man " ... " the best of" is a greatest hits package einstein...

  • Guys... Your music got me through Life in high school in the 70's... it is And sill is AWESOME!!!

  • Por causa dessa música eu virei músico. Tinha dez anos de idade qdo ouvi pela primeira vez e queria ser um Guitar Man. Thanks

  • Who is playing lead guitar on this song? Anyone know? And I assume that is James Griffen on backing vocals . . .

  • @roboyoga3 I guess Larry Knechtel (who played the guitar on the record) is playing bass here and does the backings. I dont know who plays the guitar here? I see 5 people on stage.... Is Griffin playing?

  • @therealcaesar Yeah I just learned about Larry Knechtel. I guess he was part of the Wrecking Crew as well. Someone has written a book about the Wrecking Crew and said that Larry was a Musical Genius. Said he could literally play any instrument by ear...said he played Bass for the Doors on Light my Fire and that amazing opening piano part on "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and on and on...Great to learn about guys like this...Not sure if he's still with us or not.

    rock on!

  • I remember when I was a kid I loved this song. The strings at the end are so cool. I guess I still love it.
