  • why cannot I not find the part with the snowboarders? that was the best part!

  • To the guy at 4:01, GET A LIFE!

  • this was the worst opening ceremony in olympic history. canadians just dont have the talent to entertain the world.

  • @Tennessee44444 oh my god. seriously? go fuck off.

  • So embarrasing. The whole World laughed like hell.

  • Canada failed w opening ceremony pillars. Ha-ha-ha! Canadian peasants!

Canadians just can't do anything right.

  • @suboticaUSAsandiego

    except win 14 gold medals.....

  • @suboticaUSAsandiego Go fuck yourself americunt

  • Terrible music choice

  • Damn you, Youtube for removing the opening ceremonies.

  • what the fuck is with all these clip stitch videos? is the real event covered anywhere?

  • it was mark grimmette

  • The GREATEST Olmypic Games ever!!!!

  • i love canada

  • There's an error in the pic at 0:08 the pic of the Olympic flag being carried in NOT from the Vancouver games

  • OMG the music sucks...

  • why isn't the actual opening ceremonies up on youtube? Anyone know where to find it, I want to watch the beginning again...

  • I was looking for the same thing. Wasn't able to see it because it was 3.00am in Italy...

  • How come the tossers threatened youtube with regard to putting the actual footage on? corporate satan sucking tossers.

I was looking forward to watching that again :(

  • With the Canadian Olympics almost over...all eyes will be on London for 2012, and with all the complaints coming from the UK media on not only Canada, but the US athletes and Russian athletes.

You can bet you pretty quids that everyone will be super-critical of London 2012...I am sure that is exactly what the British OC wanted to see...nothing like extra pressure, and everyone rooting for you to fail...

Sometimes its best to not dig yourself a hole so deep that you can't possibly get out.

  • both russia and england have been talking shit about em to ease the pressure off them since they are hosting next .. i just cant to see how the britshits will fit millions of pple within that crowded dirty piece of shit lol

  • Russia has been surprisingly quiet though I gotta tell you, and almost everything went wrong for them.

    Here are a few.

    1) previous athletes used drugs, so current ones get repeatidly tested, interupting practice times

    2) Plushenko

    3) Medal count far short of expectation

    4) Russian bobsled flip

    4) Canada facing Russia early in hockey

    5) Ice dancing Canada-US gold-silver finish led by a Russian coach.

    6) Beating top 2 curling teams (11-1 vs sweden) but no medal.

    etc.

  • Use some class.

  • Yeah, London 2012 is going to be shit and we all know it over here. We don't really give a fuck though. If everyone wants you to fail, just give them what they want - a massive disappointment. That way everybody loses and you can all forget having a great olympic games.

  • well put.

  • @FearOfTheFlesh From what I heard these games were done very well and everyone enjoyed them.

I amnotsur what you are talking about.

  • OMG can u plz tell me the name of this song??

  • woooooo! go vancouver!!!!!

    the brits can suck it!!!!!

  • NBC(R) Vancover 2010

  • 2:22

  • Fucking stupid whining brits r the only ones who have a problem with these olympics!! they're fucking annoying, always complaining about everything!! wish they would shut the fuck up and go home, they suck anyways.

  • @Salvus967 reason for whining is because they're trying to deflect attn from their over spending for the 2012 Games they are hosting. By demeaning the Vancouver Olympics, they're hoping to make their Olympics compare better. Its reported that their Games are already 4X over budget, and could be as much as 10X over budget come 2012. The roles will quickly be reversed after Vancouver, when the eyes are all on London 2012!!! And WE will remember the whining and bitching, OH will we remember!

  • and number's wise, the 2010 Opening cost about $40 million, compare that to the almost $400 million spent on the Beijing Opening, I think Vanoc did a wonderful job with 1/10 the cost. Not to mention...when Canadians say 'volunteer', they MEAN volunteer, not 'told to volunteer by their government'.

  • it depends. did you convert the currency?

Also - most of the people in the chinese opening are military soldiers, how were more than glad to participate. no one was FORCED really.

  • there's no conversion required. I didn't say $40 million Canadian and 400 million Yuan. I said $40 million vs $400 million (that symbol, it means DOLLARS). And exactly when did China have a Volunteer army? Telling troops they are participating in the ceremonies, who HAVE to serve in the army, isn't volunteering. Glad to be there or not...its still not voluntary. The key is, being able to say 'no, I don't want to' and no repercussions because you said 'no'.

  • yeah they r probably gonna shit the bed big time, and the party atmosphere will never compare to that of BC. noone wants to party with drunk, obnoxious shit heads like the whining brits.

  • Woah. Idk what all this fighting is about between Canada and America.. Cause besides the border we live in the same continent. I am Canadian-American.

  • Is the Georgian team in this vid?

  • 0:40

  • @Tennessee44444 uhm.. im sorry but that was one of the best openings I've seen, sorry you may disagree.

And Americans probablu woulda ruined it with patriotism

  • So I missed the opening ceremonies. Is there anyway to see them, or am i pretty much up the shit-creek without a shit-paddle?

  • @Ralroost

ur up the shit creek without a shit paddle with a shithole in ur shit canoe

  • @maddinenprimetime it's because it's a classic legend from quebec

  • Well shit.

  • @Ralroost i have them recorded on my DVR

  • who is this band?

  • Therefore I Am - you and no other

  • @katmancon

Global warming is a scam (a myth). But extreme pollution is very real. Go take a bath in a lake near the tar sands in Alberta. Go drink a glass of water in a river around Toronto or Montreal. I can garentee you will not do it more than once.

  • @TheSuperAstro

Following a cold snap in the Northeast, Lake Eries surface is virtually frozen over for the first time in about 14 years.

  • @katmancon heh, there have been FIVE climate changes in the last 80,000 years (NOVA - Extreme Cave Diving), the most extreme was around 11-15 thousand years ago (Stalagmite records)...such CO1 and CO2 must have done that.

  • Nice job. I missed it on tv so nice to see the images. Glad to see the image of activists protesting the Canada seal slaughter at the end. Canada has a lot to be proud of but not things like the commercial killing of harp, hooded and grey seals for the fur. Nor the Alberta tar sands which are worsening the climate change crisis. Nor the logging of old growth forests in BC. I could go on.....

  • Actual videos are removed by YouTube due to copyright claim by IOC. Please enjoy this slideshow, amazing images in HD!

  • Dude. Epic ceremony. Loved the Aboriginal stuff.
