I loved thi band. I played organ for the Robustos, and we spent a month out on the road with these guys and The Articles on the Moonstomp Tour. I can't remember the song, but there was one they did that everybody in all three bands would hit the stage to sing backup. At the end of the show, whoever was headlining that night would play "Guns of Navarone" and all the horn players would rattle the windows. Good times.
This band and Engine 54 are my two favorite NW ska bands. Unfortunately the drummer was the only wildcard in the band.. occasionally he'd have a pretty off night.
shame what happened to moon ska, it not only ended the label but it ended most of the bands signed to it isaac green and the skalers ruder than you the skoidats mephiskapheles mobtown magadog lets go bowling bluebeats skavoovie and the epitones regatta 69 scofflaws allstonians edna's goldfish the articles spring heeled jack
this is the first ive seen of ebf on you tube. they made some great records. are they still going? my kids and i spent many happy hours dancing and singing to them. 'the road alone' is fab
Hey! EBF aren't going any more unfortunately, but Rick (the guitarist) is now the guitarist/singer for another awesome Ska band called Natalie Wouldn't, you'll find their stuff on YouTube, and some on my page as well as my band have done a couple of tours with them :)
