I think the Phoenix Wright series should break off of the linear "Visual Novel" format and make the games more well rounded. Let us build our cases in our own ways, deal with people and situations with various methods, and give us several different opportunities to nail the bad guy.

I feel such an approach would not only be fresh, but would offer more in the way of replayability.

The freshness of the series comes entirely from the visual novel style. It's the point of the series. If they took that away, it would be just like any old law game. It's a puzzle, there's no two ways to put together a puzzle.

I do feel that being fresh is what defines the Phoenix Wright series, and as such I'd like to see a new formula that gives us that same feeling of novelty as when we took the defense desk for the very first time.
