  • Alfred Karnes recorded it, but it was written and published by my grandfather Newton S. Sitzlar. I had the privilege of video taping my Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins doing the song in Mt. Vernon, Tn in the late 70's. If I find the video, maybe I can post it. But this group came very close to the original sound. I hope they record it someday. They are great.

  • Lovely!

The song is entitled "We Shall All Be Reunited" and was first recorded by Alfred Karnes in 1928...during Victor's second visit to Bristol.

Check out Karnes's record...it's just as beautiful.

  • Any chance anyone has the Bessie Smith song that Patty started out with? It was awsome.

  • This was an absolutely awesome show!!! Do you have more you can post?

  • Went to see them in NYC on 2/20. Sadly Buddy was ill, enough so that it was just the "3 Girls."

The "girls" were awesome, of course. (What else would you expect?)

  • legendary and beautiful...

    thanks,

    russ
