This video is painting such a romantic view of the ninja. Oh let us all become killers. It doesnt matter what u are. Killing is wrong and not chivalrous at all. grow out of your comic books.
@FeinnWarrior are you retarded? it's an infornational video not a persuasion video. comic books, thats a good one. back then ninjas thrived and everything you see in these videos was more than possible for them. You don't see capes or flying or damsels in distress. You see reality
this is BULLSHIT, what kind of asshole would believe this, ninjas didnt even weared black, actually wen some1 wears black u notice his presence....and wtf they didnt have any honor
you do know that shinobi were soldiers right? ( aka samurai)
you do know that what you deem to be honorable is most definitely not what samurai deemed to be honorable...
stumbling home drunk... and you dont hear the guy coming from behind? thats dishonorable FOR YOU... not the guy jumping you, YOU should have been prepared...
most people think of knights and chivalry attached to samurai.... not the case.
@Arteanor one question, if they are the same thing, then why are they called by different names?? i was under the impression that samurai were soldiers where as ninja were assassins. this is an EXTREMELY BROAD description, but thats how i understood it from childhood. the samurai would kill you to your face, the ninja would slit your throat from behind. if you want to get into it, both are killers so be done with it.
tokugava shogunate was way earlier than 16 century wtf? dont you people even read a hystory before make some bulshit. Tokugava dynasty was way way early dumbasses that was after collepse of his dynasty that one following them created mandate of hevana (heaven Mandate)
I wasn't sure at first but the hand signaling the ninja use are the same as the hand prayers monks use. So the connections of Monks and ninja do seem apparent.
Ninjutsu is better defined as a collection of gorilla warefare techniques, rather than a stlye of martial arts. Much like Kung-fu, it's not a sport and was originally only ment to kill aponents with minimal effort, so it can never be justifiably tested against other martial arts for superiority.
thats totally wrong. first depending on what u speak of Ninjutsu is define as a collection of skill employed by Ninja. Ninja got thier scars by fighting single and multi opponent combat in the privates sector as spies & sabtouers or as Jizaumari or Nobushi in times of war. they fought along side the samuari and most were samuari. Our O' Sensei went to china and had numerous Shai shobu (fights to the death) with out losing one. his name is Toshitsugu Takamatsu.
as far as martial arts go there are two schools of thought. one says that it is the fighter who is superior, martial arts cant be catogoerized comparing them is like caomapring a Mountain to a river...just train. forget about who or what system is better. lol
The 33rd Soke of Togakure Ryu (and lineage holder/soke of 8 other styles), named Toshitsugu Takamatsu travelled extensively in China. He did so as China was getting lots of influences from both the West as well as other Eastern countries, so there were lots of different people and fighting styles there. He fought a lot of people, some of them to the death, some of them just to see who was the best (obviously with few rules) and some against criminals. He never lost, and passed on his art.

I thought it was well-put-together. A bit dramatic, but it was a movie... not a film of a class. Good Job overall. :)

This is a perfect example of how not to make something dramatic.

I guess it's stuff like this that creates rumours/ignorance among people... Sad really...
I wouldn't say everything in this video or series of videos is completely untrue, but it's probably not 100% accurate either...

It can be very mentally painful for some and easy
for others, while others yet will simply put up a wall to all possibilities and lash out. It is the way of
the world, martial arts or not...

When someone comes along and asks what style is better, it automatically challenges the paradigms that you
have chosen to accept as reality and began engraining in your head. This causes some people to turn around
and say, "This is crap", or, "Well really this is not a very good idea", which then perpetuates the entire
dynamic taking place. Changing paradigms, being open to "rewiring" parts of your brain is a process that
physically takes place via a variety of chemical means.

true true but then again some styles are better then other in certain areas...
jiujutsu vs. english boxing
it's normal that the jiujutsu guy will have an adventage and probally better on the ground but that doesn't mean it's in general better then boxing

its not just style vs style, the issue comes from a much more deeply rooted paradigmatic phenomenon in the
learning process. Namely, you survive, grow, learn...interact with the Universe...based on what you already
know or are presently learning. We have a very deep instinct, to stand by what we beleive in because it
inherently defines what we do and why we do it, our reality.
