In Dragonslayer and Star Wars (Return of the Jedi), they used something called a go-motion device.. which was a machine with stepper motors that had rods which would connect into the puppets, making them move their legs (walk), and sway back and forth filmed against a bluescreen.. anyone know how this could be achieved? 3 rods would be needed to connect underneath both feet and one into the back, or front of the chassis. Feel free to pm me if you know more on this subject.
I have a question: what software or application do you use for processing images on real time?
I mean, I see that you use a simple cam, but how do you receive the image from it? Is there any software to do it in real time (processing frame by frame).
Or maybe it is included into your own code, if so, how do you do it?
Hey nice job, you are using servomotors right?
whats the torque of the stronbguest one?
im doing someting similar but i dont know the motors weight so i cant calculate the torque to hold the structure.
is that a webcam? or some kind of optical sensor?
anyway pretty amazing! good job!

can you hold the ball on air in your hand, and see if the arm can *see* and take it from your hand?

Did you build the Robotic arm yourself or is there a kit out there ? What processor did you use Flexis ColdFire V1 ?

NICE work Eric. Now throw all the balls out there and have it pick them by color. red, orange, yellow, green, blue.
