what is that woman's name from Arizona Nation? standing on stage with them? she was in Hinckley,Mn last concert i went to see him on sept 21 2000 He always Had a Bad ASS Concert! seen him ONLY 7 times he was/is STILL the BEST
This was one of the best musicians ever!!!! I love his guitar style so many have tried to reproduce his custom sound but all have failed! It's hard to reproduce the sound of a legend!
He passed on 3 months after I had seen his show. He was in great pain tho we didn't know until the show was over and they helped him off the stage. God what a show! There was no fading to him, he put his all in that show and that great baritone was perfect! The diabetes had gotten to him and even tho they amputated his foot, still they couldn't save him. Such a horrible disease! Jessi said he was ready to go and smiled at the end.
This wasn't his last public apperance, just the one recorded for a DVD, which was not released for several years. We saw Waylon in Lelanaw, Michigan in the summer just before he became serious ill and stopped touring that Fall.
He put on 2 great shows even though you could see he was fading.
I've been a fan since first hearing Nashville Rebel in 1966 and miss him every day. RIP Hoss.

Since his passing, there is a void in this world. There just isn't anybody like the greats like Waylon, Elvis, SRV, and others.

So true, he went down rockin'. Like he made a vow with the guitar "till death do us part".

@rexanater
well said mate!
But in my head (and my heart), Waylon is still rockin' "up there", somewhere, drinking a glass of Jack, and telling road stories
ABSOLUTE LEGEND
