Very strange voice, almost unintelligible pronunciation. But the car is awesome. This Porsche Cayman R looks like that one from Porsche's advert and I love it. But this PDK is ridiculous. Why do they take a car without manual transmission, if this car is built for a track?

I see no valid reason to get an R as opposed to the S type. Also, yes the PDK is smooth however I find the manual gearbox to be a lot more fun. Simply put I rather enjoy the manual and the S type is just fine. Porsche had an opportunity to do something interesting with the 2012 model and simply failed entirely to impress.

A tranny that gets my car going like it had 100 more horsepower, weighed 100lbs less, and I have still have control over the gearbox when I want it... Yeah... I could pass on the manual, too. Especially if I'm burning about $70K-80K for the one car. Given that, can you blame them?

Beautiful car. As far as the whole Manual vs. PDK thing goes, my dad has had an 08 911 Carrera S with manual transmission and now has a 2011 911 Carrera 4S with PDK and I've driven both. Now the manual does give you that sporty feel but it simply doesn't compare to PDK. The PDK is just so fast and comes with all the racing technology that replaces the fun of the manual. I don't see why people are so crazy about manuals when new technology is clearly better.

One of the stupidest phrases I've ever heard. As well as reference to "a dose of horsepower." Ummm.... was it a healthy dose? A big dose? Small? Good lord! I don't understand why someone would want this over a GTR. My Dad for one loves this car but doesn't like the Nissan. For me, the GTR is my dream car and the cayman r is his. Actually his new dream car is the C63 Black Series, so screw this Porsche even if it has amazing cup holders.
