  • There you go, this one is a review someone who rarely thinks Star Trek sucks can respect.

  • @LordHannigan actually he was built so that his hair would age along with his body and live and be shut off in a manner much like a human death. He didnt want to be immortal....

  • great review btw good work!

  • I am a diehard tng fan + jean luc picard fan but the only good part int he film was the marriage ceremony lol

  • You don't pronounce the "P" in coup...or is that a colloquialism where you're from?

  • @ianschulz1 you do with some definitions and in some accents

    don't be a condescending jackass

  • why do i feel old

  • Good review videos man.

  • The 1 mistake they made was to give a movie that comes from stories about deep philosophical questions to a director thought about it as an action movie.

The entire scene on the planet where they find B-4 is useless, they scould have just beamed B-4 on the transporter pad and the surprise would be there. Then they HAD to give everyone a fight scene in this... Picard's escape in a fighter in the corridors of the Scimitar ??? Please...

Wrong director is 90% of why this film failed... Too bad.

  • Well Nemesis was the end of the cast. People were getting old and Data shouldn't age right.

  • Also, you failed to mention one of the biggest reasons the TNG movies had to end. Data. Brent Spiner was getting old and it was showing all too well in Nemesis. They solved that problem by killing data... then reintroducing it by having B4 live on.

  • +Respect for acknowledging the Countdown comics. People who are lost with the reboot Star Trek plot should really go read them. They make a lot of thing make more sense and do a much better job of tying the prime and alternate universes together. And its fun to watch the Romulans finally, after all this time, destroy a fleet of Federation starships just because they feel like it.

  • Shinzon will Invade your dreams

  • @davincent98 Just wait until next year. I've got a feeling Bane will give some people nightmares.

  • I've just read an interview given by Patrick Stewart. There was going to be a fifth movie for The Next Generation cast. It would have been the 11th Star Trek movie and severed as a proper farewell to the TNG cast. It would've also involved several historic aspectsof Star Trek as well. And to me, that would've redeemed TNG, like how TOS redeemed itself with The Undiscovered Country.

They should've done that, then they can reboot the movie with TOS. But NO, which kinda pisses me off

  • Out of all the directors to choose from, Stuart Baird is the worst, but I still like this film.

They should've hired either David Carson, Jonathan Frakes, or Nicholas Meyer to direct it. Or maybe Leonard Nimoy could've been hired. He did a great job directing Star Trek III and IV

I wish Paramount had agreed to do two more movies with The Next Generation cast. I wanted to see the further voyages of The Enterprise-E and Captain Picard.

  • Its a great thing Data made backup

  • They could have tried to get David Carson to direct.

  • Thank you!!!

  • Of all the problems with this movie, Baird's direction was not one of them. Blaming a hired gun for silly character moments and insipid plotting is just weak. Way to be a chump, Frakes and Burton.

  • Fantastic review! I couldn't agree more :)

  • Even though Diana crashed the ship... again, the scimitar was one bad ass ship :)

  • Nemesis lost to a Lopez flick? UGH. I saw this in theatres and LOVED it. Despite the wonky story, I totally bought into all of it. I'd just recently(at least as of 2002) gotten into TNG so I was preempted to love it. After many years I saw it again and STILL love it. And "B4"? "Before"? Hardy har.

Hah, I never thought of the parallels between Undiscovered Country, Wrath of Khan and this. Makes sense! Nice pointing that out! As usual, another great review man.

  • Oh believe me, you WERE NOT the only one to spot Paramount's attempt at cloning Star Trek II. For this movie, that's always been the one thing that stuck out like a sore thumb being munched on by a Tiberian Bat.

  • i agree with you great review.

  • Wow, sounds like it was a good movie that had far more potential if only they'd given the reigns to someone who knew what the hell they were doing...

  • Hey Nerco, if Nemesis was a success with a good story and better director, It would have been cool if they had Q in the next movie. Any thoughts.

  • A lot of people do like this, for whatever reason. It's not bad but I never cared for this. Patrick Stewart said that the line in the title "A generation's final journey begins." "look at the "BEGINS" in the title hinting that there could be more but when this tanked, he didn't look back at Star Trek for a while.

This could have been good. Reportedly Nicholas Meyer was even asked at one point to direct. That would have rocked.
