2 maps a month wouldn't have been too bad, but 1 map for a month is pretty lame. If you compare it to the season pass for gears, they've released 10 new maps, 5 hours of campaign, new weapon skins, new characters, and horde upgrades for $30, and it's not finished with the season yet.

I'm glad I didn't purchase Elite after considering doing so. I was worried about whether or not I would like the maps considering who was making them. From what I see so far, the Maps that came with the game and the 2 new ones are mostly garbage IMO. The stats that I could get on Black Ops were better thought out than what the standard xbox elite gives us.

So far I am very disappointed with COD Elite. It is definitly not worth the fifty dollars between the site not being operational for a while (parts that we have payed for such as clan operations are still unavailable), nine months of content instead of a year which we payed for, game modes you have to pay for whereas in Black Ops you didn't have to pay, and how none of the maps are all that different from each other. If it was a one time $50 fee, I would not be as frustrated as I am.

I have PS3 and I was pissed about the bullshit that's being handed to us. However, and this is probably the optimism in me, it's still a good deal. You should still buy ELITE if you haven't yet. You still get maps earlier than you would traditionally and it's still $10 cheaper than buying everything at once like you would traditionally. So it's still a good deal. Saying "I'm not going to buy ELITE" because of this is just hurting yourself. I'm a PS3 loyal BTW.

Now the xbox premium members still get the maps 1 month before the ps3 premium members. The non premium xbox and ps3 members still have to wait a little after the maps come out to their console elite members.
