  • Hail Britannia! Britannia leads the way! Britain never never never shall be staid!

  • @DCFunBud He was Australlian

  • @MrsPoodle78 Is Australia not part of the British Empire? Besides, I think he claimed British citizenship through his grandparents. He certainly worked in Britain.

  • @DCFunBud australia is part of the commonwealth for sure, he was from victoria though, and he would have gotten the british citizenship through his father though

  • @DCFunBud India is part of the British Empire.

  • @andmaketherain you mean the empire that doesnt exist?

  • @MrsPoodle78 he was victorian, wild west

  • Looks just like JoJo

  • i need Red Cabbage & Oranges

  • Divine! True art.

  • As far as I knew Leigh married Nicola to protect his work. As his wife she was next of kin. But gay/straight/bi was way too conventional for Leigh, he liked nothing more than confusing and upsetting people. There is nothing to replace him, Jonny Woo eat yer heart out.

  • looks like the Evil Queen from Snow White! ROTFL!

  • What a genius he was....sadly missed....

  • brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love leigh (L)!!!!!

  • I don't think lables like 'straight' 'Gay' 'Bisexual' or CD/TV/TS apply to Leigh Bowery he simply was!

  • @KRISPYKWENT29 I strongly suspect that any time he was presented with multiple-choice options Leigh always picked "other".

  • ♥♥♥

  • wow! :-)

  • i`m a straight leigh bowery fan, but leigh was not gay, he was bisexual as far as i know, he married nicola bateman.

  • ...lol why did you have to say " im a -straight- LB fan " ?

  • Leigh was very openly gay and not many straight people like myself actually dig him as an artist. Leigh very much geared his costuming towards a gay audience. So when people like me and smalaabby surface - it does bring to light some significance considering how Leigh was in real life. It's too bad that he had to die when he did. Just like Freddy Mercury - I never gave a crap that he was gay. Mercury was about Rock n Roll. Though I'm sure his nature had it's influence on his performance as well

  • well, Leigh wasnt gay, he was married to a woman lol, he was bi.

  • Well - you could say that he was bi in his later years as was infact married to Nicola. But he was very involved and in love with Trojan - his gay partner. His lifestyle and culture before Nicola Bateman was very gay. He even talks about it in several interviews

  • Leigh married Nicola as a performance piece. His "bisexuality" was a technicality, if anything.

  • I wasnt the biggest leigh bowry fan although i must admit his work is interesting Maybe its cos im from the usa and im straight (used to club alot tho). Are there any straight leigh bowery fans? Im curious

  • He was so normal the times i met him!

  • come on, there's still time to look H-O-T for the nightclub

  • One loses words to try & comment on something so...Extra Ordinary, so slippery I guess. Kool!

  • Deep thoughts for greater living!

  • witchy confidence cooo!

  • Awesomeness!
