Based on speed, being faster than your opponent, knowing what your opponent is going to do, pro-active, fire and fancy moves. I've seen and experienced better people. Who are invincible...but still he moves well, fast and has has studied his themes well. His book is nothing new, but is wel researched. Good work. He also is a new hipe, because other teachers have lost credibility(fooling around), so people are looking for the new gods...
In the last seminar Kacem gave here in Amsterdam (17 & 18 sept 2011), he made a specific difference between 'speed' and 'timing'. The latter being the most important. Of course speed is something you can work on, but when you get older and your muscles are not strong and fast as before, timing is what will make you control the situation.

In all the videos while the uke is moving at say 20mph, Kacem is always moving at 80 or 100mph. Is he always going to be 4 or 5 times faster than everyone else? What if the opponent could go 40mph? Can Kacem go 160 or 200mph? What if the uke was able to move at 60mph? It doesn't logically seem that that significant speed advantage would hold up. Also let's be honest, isn't this much more of a Kuroda-san inspired movement than that of Soke?
@ShugendoWarrior ... Fair enough analysis. I'll give you that. As I'm sure you can tell, the movements you are seeing are demos and lessons explaining a particular point, presented in quick clips, out of context. Experiencing and learning from Kacem is a different experience than the flash of these videos. And by different, I also mean better and deeper.
I've been involved in and witnessed many "freestyle" situations with Kacem. He's the real deal and can pull everything off in real time, in various circumstances, against any opponent. You really have to experience him for yourself before coming to conclusions. It's only fair.... As far as his style of movement, Soke moved like this when he was younger as part of his process. Young men shouldn't inspire themselves to move like an 80 year old man before they have made that journey properly.
If anything, I see more of Ishizuka Sensei and Takamatsu Sensei in Kacem's movement. But that's me based on my limited experiences.... and YES.... he's THAT fast, no matter how quick I've ever seen anyone come at him. It's scary. What's worse is how in-perceivable his movement is, when facing him.
@ShugendoWarrior While I've not had the chance to train with Kacem myself, I see the same thing you're seeing here. He seems to intentionally move at a much faster speed than his uke when responding, despite the uke coming in quite slowly. It's something my sensei refers to as 'Beating a go-cart with a Ferrari' Sure, you win, but it's no real accomplishment. That's not to say Kacem isn't agile, but the way he does this seems to just be showing off. Suffice to say, I'm not really a fan of his.
@ShugendoWarrior ... after being in the Booj for over 21 years and also studying other styles. I'm pretty confident in what is really going on. Thanks :o) But please enjoy your own path, by all means.
@ShugendoWarrior Fancy editing, yes. It's supposed to be a fun video. As for the rest... you've clearly never trained with the man. There's A LOT more going on than you think.

@AMPBFS There is also the possibility that perhaps there is significantly less going on than you think? Worth considering.

In Ninpo Taijutsu there is always much more going on that you can see... Specially for the uke =)

Seems like a lot of flash, speed, force, one man kata, and editing, and not so much taijutsu.
