By that I mean its not a bunch of loose narrations narrated and written many years after the main source or anything, and it is not submissive to change over time, it is authentic since the beginning and hasn't changed. The Quran was verbally memorized and written down by many of the prophets companions. It was compiled in a year or two after the prophet's death under the order of the first khalifah.....

You're right that the Quran was written shortly after his death, the 150 year thing was standardising the dialect. But the point remains that it all comes from peoples memories, rather than the source itself (Muhammed). Even if it did come from Muhammed, we can't prove any of it is true, because there is no evidence that he spoke to Gabriel & that Gabriel was an angel?

These aren't a compilation of sayings that were written down decades after the recorders of the original person passed away... Written text of the Quran was available during the time of the prophet and it was directly written by the prophets companions after he verbally transmitted it in front of them... It was compiled after his death...

The Quran says there is no compulsion in religion (2:256)
It also says to escort the non Muslims to a place to security if they seek peace during a war in chapter 9

Charity is a pillar of Islam which is mandatory on a Muslim with a certain amount of savings or higher... the Muslim has to give 2.5% (or something like that) of his savings for charity every year.. since nonMuslims don't hav to pay any such taxes they pay Jizya (1-3% of their savings.... nothing compared to the US!!!!!) and are promised protection... If they cannot be protected they get their money back
@pakimuslim100 You seem to cherry pick the good bits of the scriptures and credit the religion for it, but surely if the scripture has immoral things in it, then it is worrying that people are following something which tells you to do bad things. The source u gave me in Bukhari uses the word 'consumed'. I don't know what that is supposed to imply but since I'm sure u and I don't know Arabic we can't go to the original Arabic word to find out its true meaning

Only a very small number of more recent sources say the age was older, which seems to be backwards justifying a belief i.e. when we have now questioned it on moral grounds. The word is actually 'consummated' (check the definition on the internet). You say she did it on her own will, 1. It was accepted by her mother, not her, as was the case in those days. But also shouldn't the onus be on the older person as she was NINE?

I am saying that the Quran itself has found to be, from the mentioned study. If this is the case, then it since Muhammed was illiterate, then it could be anywhere along the chain of the message the person who spoke to Muhammed (Gabriel) or from Muhammad's companions who wrote it down.

@pakimuslim100 What I gave you was only ONE scenario of how it was possible that the Quran was plagiarised. The fact is that it has been analysed and found to be plagiarised. How it happened is another question, but there are many possibilities, for instance Gabriel was a literate man who had read the Bible and other poems and then spoke to Muhammad who remembered and adapted.

The Quran was verbally memorized and written down by many of the prophets companions. It was compiled in a year or two after the prophet's death under the order of the first khalifah.....

But the point remains that it all comes from peoples memories, rather than the source itself (Muhammed). Even if it did come from Muhammed, we can't prove any of it is true, because there is no evidence that he spoke to Gabriel & that Gabriel was an angel?

Charity is a pillar of Islam which is mandatory on a Muslim with a certain amount of savings or higher... the Muslim has to give 2.5% (or something like that) of his savings for charity every year.. since nonMuslims don't hav to pay any such taxes they pay Jizya (1-3% of their savings.... nothing compared to the US!!!!!) and are promised protection... If they cannot be protected they get their money back

The source u gave me in Bukhari uses the word 'consumed'. @pakimuslim100 These sources are very credible seeing as most are Hadiths. Only a very small number of more recent sources say the age was older, which seems to be backwards justifying a belief i.e. when we have now questioned it on moral grounds. The word is actually 'consummated' (check the definition on the internet). You say she did it on her own will, 1. It was accepted by her mother, not her, as was the case in those days. But also shouldn't the onus be on the older person as she was NINE?

If this is the case, then it since Muhammed was illiterate, then it could be anywhere along the chain of the message the person who spoke to Muhammed (Gabriel) or from Muhammad's companions who wrote it down.

@turbochimps A messenger and warrior has been mentioned in many previous sacred scriptures (Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, even Zoroasrtrian)...... this warrior was to come from the Arab lands...... they all say that his message would spread throughout the world and it will be the message of truth...... the scriptures indicate that he would be from Makkah..... the reason why there were Jews in Arabia was because they were expecting a prophet to come from this region so they settled there.

@pakimuslim100 What I gave you was only ONE scenario of how it was possible that the Quran was plagiarised. The fact is that it has been analysed and found to be plagiarised. How it happened is another question, but there are many possibilities, for instance Gabriel was a literate man who had read the Bible and other poems and then spoke to Muhammad who remembered and adapted.
