Is that Kim Gardner on Bass? It doesn't look like him? I just read he owned the Cat & the Fiddle here in Hollywood. Man, I went quite a few times to that pub and never knew!
OMG ! i remember seeing them in 1964 at the ivy league club in west drayton, where ronnie took a shine to my elder sister who had her mini skirt on right up to her expectations lol great tune even now thx

Damn! This song is one of my faves...heard it on Little Stevens Underground Garage. And we play it too...but they were kings... Also Tommy James did it and others... But this kicked!
The Birds, who i have only come to listen to in the last few years, actually sound better, and their music has aged better, than the aforementioned Byrds, who were quite influential, at least in the US.
@castingtherunes Take the real choice! :-) The Byrds is nothing else than an american lazy-ass hippy band, they never rocked straight enough. The Birds rock the 60's just like every british band rocked the 60's, from The Beatles to the Jeff Beck Group. It took Grand Funk Railroad to wake up those sleepy hippies in 1970 and after that, it became rock for americans (known as hard rock). British bands became nothing else than legendary and mythic (Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Queen, etc.)
the birds used to play in greenford great band also were the koalas and the tomcats; girls in my school had a fan club for them forty years lateri helped ron woods biographer terry rawlings with book:: mod a very british phenomenon !! great posting

@cannibaljuice Yes. And it feels 1966 so badly, just like many good albums in that year. :-)
