i love this, my name is mark tubridy, and i had to emigrate, and this song reminds me of martin noel and anne and tubridys bar and the craic on sunday morning after mass. cant buy that anywhere in the world. miss ye all
such a brilliant song, frank o brien wrote it years ago , he was from cooraclare and emigrated to chicago and never returned. my father was so well known for singing this all over the country and beyond. he kept this song alive for years and years, sadly dad passed away last march
Most beautiful voice. Such an Irish talent we have in Annmarie. Music in the background is just right and its Annmaries voice that carries the rich melody. I am Irish and maybe I am biased. But this is still beautiful to me. Go raibh maith agat
LOVELY SPOT!! never meet a better group of lads...cooraclare is the spot to be!! unreal crack..cant bate a good night out in dotherty's!! savage football team..cant be bate on their home soil...love the old derby matches against the kilrush!! u havent lived unless u have been to cooraclare!!
Annmarie this is your zone. You are so good with such a beautiful sweet Irish voice I would love to hear more songs like this. I just hope you stick to tradition that is what (in my opinion) you do best. I love this song and many more that you sing. Bring it on because we are waiting. Beautiful is not a good enough word to describe your voice. Go raibh maith agat ,,Tom..
Annmarie, Like you very much, I 1st heard of you via a friend of a cousin, of a cousin, at a family gettogether in London, and discover we both hail from the Barony of Duhallow, Co Cork, what a wonderful heritage we share, so rich in music, song and story.
I visited my home village of Cooraclare last week for a funeral "inside the chapel gates of Cooraclare." & we then resorted to Tubridy's for a few drinks.
That truly is lovely, was in Dutch lessons today and we listened to a song that was about homesickness for the Hague, and that too was beautiful in a melancholic way. I must go home to Ballynacally more often!
Well done Anne-Marie. As a proud Cooraclare man, you do the song great justice. Its a powerful song and sang beautifully by you!! God be with the man that wrote it Frank O Brien who emigrated to Chicago and never returned!!!!
bono westlife an boyzone r just runin after u pure useless dont no how they ever made it u r wonderful ann marie best in ireland an no need for music in bac ground ur voice tells it all go raimh mile mile maith agat

You are a blessing.Love,Peace and hugs from Canada and best wishes Claire:)
Ann Marie - phenomenal. I came across your song yesterday and havent stopped talking to people about it. Very moving and sung so beautifully. I love these songs which are so much a part of our oral history which needs artists like yourself to keep them alive. Go raibh mile maith agat
Well... my grandmother wrote the music for the Church Gates at Cooraclare and Frank (can't think of his second name - maybe Lynch - would need to ask my Dad) wrote the words. He was a postman in Cooraclare before he came West to the U.S. The piano she wrote the music on still resides in the front room of her house in Cooraclare - now the home of my uncle.
