  • I visited my home village of Cooraclare last week for a funeral "inside the chapel gates of Cooraclare." & we then resorted to Tubridy's for a few drinks.

  • That truly is lovely, was in Dutch lessons today and we listened to a song that was about homesickness for the Hague, and that too was beautiful in a melancholic way. I must go home to Ballynacally more often!

  • No, I'm not from Cooraclare.... sadly! I'm from Cork but have visited Cooraclare and it's a beautiful part of the country. Le gach dea gui, Annmarie!

  • Well... my grandmother wrote the music for the Church Gates at Cooraclare and Frank (can't think of his second name - maybe Lynch - would need to ask my Dad) wrote the words. He was a postman in Cooraclare before he came West to the U.S. The piano she wrote the music on still resides in the front room of her house in Cooraclare - now the home of my uncle.

  • i love u hun

  • Great version of this song.
