@sleadhead1g Hi, as said (written) in the beginning of the movie, the boiler runs on two Esbit tablets, burning simultaneously. And these two keep the engine running for about 17 minutes. However, it can only run that long if you reduce the air supply through retracting the small "drawer" holding the Esbit tablets a little bit, effectively closing the ventilation holes running on each side. The result is less air, slower combustion, less speed and a loooong duration. :-)
@wefful97 Hi, I would prefer the D10 over the D12. The D10 is closer to a real steam engine in it's construction than the D12. The D10 has a double acting cylinder and so the piston is pushed in both directions. The D12 only pushes the piston in the outward direction - and it's the flywheel that has to bring the piston back in again. This also means that the D10 can run at a much lower speed than the D12 - and still deliver power (in this case the "windmill"). Low speed also looks more "real".
what fuel do you use for the boiler???????
