BOV was absolutely ridiculous on a stock tune, maybe after you boosted it more, but stock these things really hurt for that recirculation.

My only advice as an owner of a gti, is never do a BOV, the 1.8t engine was designed to use a recirculating valve (diver valve) which is actually very easy to install.

hey guys u got the same golf 4 but not the gti model, im on my Ps so i cant put boost or pod filters on my car , is there any other legal way to mod my car for a P plater ? and what is a good way of making it louder? adding a new exhaust and muffler?

@The1Guitar drop a decent intake on it. the car itself shouldnt attract cops attention much and they'll unlikely ever ask you to open the hood anyway. intake noise through a good system will sound a lot nicer than a fart cannon welded in place of the stock exhaust, golf exhaust note is decent anyway. unless you planned to do a proper exhaust overhaul but i think that'd be more of a cop magnet, and it'd be classed as an engine modification i think.
