Actually its joint. Man Utd have also won 18 but they just edge it in the league because they have been runner up 13 times compared to Liverpools 12. Also the last one was 19 years ago. If another team went that long without a title and won a few cups. Only really challanged for the league onces in that time im sure they would be branded a cup team.
