  • The square numbers in this game were 1, 25, 36, and 169.

    1x1=1, 5x5=25, 6x6=36, and 13x13=169.

  • I'm surprised Mathman didn't stop at -36 and say, "Ponder, ponder... Must be square!", in which case we'd be treated to the following caption:

    -36=-6x6, 36=-6x-6

  • I wonder how Mr. Glitch ranks on the Advanced Fujita Scale of tornado intensity?

  • mr glitch ruthless

  • love mr glitch

  • I was sorta hoping he'd go for -36...

  • @KingKool2099 Yeah, that would have been an interesting lesson for the kids: Negative numbers can never be square.

  • @jhillst They can if the root is a complex number. (6i)^2 = -36, where i = sqrt(-1)

    (google "(6i)^2" for proof)

  • @Eidako I think that'd be a bit too complex for 4th/5th/6th-graders to grasp. Kids at that age understand square roots only as positive integers.

  • GO BLUE!

  • Mathman scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid.

  • @Rineva Apparently you're not the only one.

  • @Rineva Yeah I thought it was kinda scary too for some reason. Also I was too small to understand 99% of the math concepts in this show.

  • @culturaleyes yah I always thought this part of the show was creepy but for some reason it was my favorite part. and since i was also really young watching this I would mostly guess on mathmans numbers since I didn't understand most of the concepts.

  • I remember one time Glitch plummeted down the left shaft, "AHHHHHHH!!!! Just kiddin', folks!"

  • Do you notice a lot of times when Mathman loses it's right after he gets all hyped...

    Like...

    Onward!!!

    Yew-haw (does 360 flip)

    I'm the best

    No one can stop me.

  • someone should make a tribute video to glitch have all his sayings back to back lol

  • and bewarre the reckless mr. glitch

    Glitch: HEY!

  • what is a Square Number anyway?

  • A square number is a number where two number both the same number is multiplied. For example, 4 is square since 2 x 2 = 4

  • @ndingo It's a number that is the product of two whole numbers.

  • @ndingo a number thats the product of two of the same number are multiplied together.

    ex: 1x1=1 2x2=4 3x3=9 9x9=81

  • Yum. Better than fast food. LOL.

  • @AnimationDiana Yea, better than mcdonalds.

  • Absolute lol for 38 changing positions. It's like the game wanted Mathman to *lose* quicker.

  • 38 did change. lol.

  • The other possibilities were 25 and 169. Did you notice that 38 changed positions?
