In case you didn't know, Obama signed the NDAA on new years that states that they can detain American Citizens indefinitely without trial in a secret military location for "belligerent" acts against the State. The ACLU has been up in arms about this.

Why are people giving up on Ron Paul? The man is consistently accurate. 99% of what he says is truth. @TheJayWar Thank you for your respectful perspective. Newt DOES have some bad history. Some people never change, I believe he has changed and learned from his admitted mistakes and we can't hold on to things forever. That becomes unforgiving.
I also agree with you on avoiding war unless imminent clear and present danger exist. Do we face an imminent threat. I could be wrong but I think we do. I know Islam will put a bomb on anyone and send a nuke on us without a second thought:)

One need simply go back to the early 20c to see what it would be like with no regs- or to the Dominican Republic.No regs on wages, workers rights etc. Move to Mexico-where most of auto industry went- and live where there are no regs. Sarbanes/Oxley was created to hold corporations responsible for financial reporting. It was created in response to corporate fraud. Without it companies can manipulate their financial earnings giving an impression they were doing excellent when they weren't. Republicans want it repealed.
