all your doing is allocating more initial 'video' memory as it is all shared memory, so now your whole system sees 64MB less of RAM and has allocated but is more than likely not using that 64MB as video memory. even if you set the bios to 8MB you gain no performance increase as the intel graphics chipset dynamically allocates more video memory from free RAM when required anyway. . . .

I can confirm that this won't work on certain OEM comps. I'm using an HP DC7100 Slim Form Factor (SFF), and the bios is pretty much locked down so you can hardly do anything. It doesn't offer settings to change graphics mem. It's stuck at 128mb. I've tried GMA Booster, but didn't see any appreciable difference, either.
