1.) this is a very old video. no one really understood Abel when this was filmed.

This game is so fucking bad.

All flash and graphics, shallow system, no balance, all the characters have a practically identical move set, shitty engine with prepackaged combos, " skill" involves using glitches against your opponent.

So shitty, especially with stuff like GG and BB out now, this just doesn't compare.

I expected a much deeper game from the company that brought us the MvC series.

@spurious When compared to its predecessor, Street Fighter III, I agree about it being bad. But the shallow system is to make it more noob friendly, the prepackaged combos can be altered with practice and proper EX Cancel use. As for the balance, don't pay much attention to it. Pick the character you enjoy playing most and perfect them. At least Capcom revived the fighting game genre.

Just pick the gameplay style you like more, slow-and-steady or speedy-and-combo-friendly, and stick with it.

i think u jsut roll through their hadokens and sonic booms and jab and if they block, throw em but not sure if this works

i use guile and abel is pretty tough for me, they use alot of cross overs that lead to their change of direction combo, over and over ... dont give guile time to charge.

love abel and this guy is really good. one thing though after he does a crouch HP he does falling star immediately, he can do a light roll first and then still connect with a falling star. You get a tiny bit of your super bar from this. It helps just a little why not right? =)

Even as a lifelong user of wrestler characters in Street Fighter games, I say command throws are overpowered in this game, and the poor response of the controls makes it hard to counter enemy attacks.

Not to take away from the Abel player, though. He's a tough character to use.
