ALL spending needs to be cut. The Fed needs to stop creating money. NAFTA and GATT need to go.  Corporations like Bear Stearns need to be allowed to fail. It is criminal (although it isn't illegal) that bonuses and huge salaries get paid to these folks and WE bail 'em out. Obviously, they haven't done their job and they have golden parachutes that WE pay for.

To help save Social Security they should cut back on the benefits that the rich get. Right now you have people who are making millions and still get benefits when they reach retirement age. If Ronald Reagan could cut the Social Security benefits on Federal workers, why can't they eliminate or cut the S.S. benefits of rich people? I will never vote for a Republican!

John McCain will cut spending by cutting those programs that benefit working people the most, that is what Republicans do, he is not going to cut programs that hurt the rich. When Ronald Reagan was President he cut back the Social Security benefits to those Federal workers who had those benefits coming to them because he said that the Civil Service pension was enough.Those who had S.S. coming to them had it because they worked two jobs to make ends meet.
