This was one of the series I loved when my father was stationed in Japan. Of course, I did prefer Ultraman when it followed this series. I still remember some of the monsters and I did collect them when I was a kid. Unfortunately I only have a few left.

@tlyoung88 Ultra Q isn't available period. There are region 2 dvds with no subtitles, and nothing else.

at all, period, the end.

Only two episodes have no monsters period, the 1/8ths human one (I think it's 18) and the last one (28) with the train. Tsuburaya WAS the exec, and he wanted monsters from the beginning. It's kinda the point of the show... sort of.

@TheTremor209 ...no, Ultra series, not "ultraman" series. This is the first show in the ultra series, ultraman follows it, ultraseven follows that, then return of ultraman, then a bunch of crap, the cartoon, the australian one, and eventually Gomora gets his own show.

Ultraman himself is a pretty small part of the mind-numbingly gargantuan franchise, most of which is terrible and 99% of it is completely unobtainable by any means short of time travel.
