Lets look at some statistics. Blacks make up 12% of the US total population. US prisons are made up 60% of blacks. That means that a signifigant number of blacks are in prison at some point. Stastically black children are far more likley to be born illegitmate or without parents. Usually places signifigantly populated by blacks have high crime, poverty. New Orleans, Memphis, Camden, and other places are examples. oh and detroit.

I'm from the South. I'm actually not going to argue this too much, but you can't generalize the South anymore. There are a lot of very good, very intelligent people there, and they have embraced tolerance and humanism. I for one would consider being black to be a point in that person's favor -- balance *will* be achieved some day.
Now Alabama and Mississippi, specifically, are a different story....
