  • Helpful, but need time to learn it well.....and I am not young enough to remember 5th language into my brain now......|||

I think I will need to meet real person and see all the changes of the voice system in order to better pronounce Thai as a real Thai. Well, it is just my way of learning adifferent, meet real person and learn all the situations.

    Thank you.

    krap kum krap

  • @jotaemeteve

The word you in Thai is "kun", and thank you in Thai is 'kop kun krap' :)

  • @LearnThaiwithMod I see "ter" (เธอ) being used sometimes instead of "kun". Is this a gender specific term, or do both men and women say it, e.g. "pom rak ter" / "chan rak ter"?

  • @bozotheda "ter" (เธอ) is you and it is used in informal situation for example when talking with friends. It is mostly used by female speakers.

  • @LearnThaiwithMod Thanks Kru Mod! I appreciate your guidance.

  • @koykim Thank you for your message. It is good that you tried. If you meant 'I like to learn Thai', it is ผมชอบเรียนภาษาไทยครับ :)

  • Chan Chop Rien Poot Passat Thai, na kah. Kap Khun Ma Kah, Archan Kah.

  • phom chorb gumlung rian pasa thai na

do lee tua eang duay na :)

  • @czeester took mai krap ??

  • @czeester If you meant " I like studying Thai", in Thai we put it this way " I like to study Thai" so we say "pom chorb rian paa-saa ta".

    * 'gam-lang' is used to say that an action is happening now. eg he is sleeping = kao gam-lang lap.

  • @LearnThaiwithMod Khop khun krap, yes I was trying to say 'I like to study thai', useful info :)

  • Khun suay mak krup!!!

  • pom thoo kun :D

can you translate me this? A Thai Girl sent it to me --> (khit thueng mak mak

  • @ramb0nat0r

kit-thueng = [V] think of miss ; mak mak = a lot. So it means (I) miss (you) a lot. She just dropped the word I and you.

    :D

By the way, I am not sure what you meant by "pom thoo kun".

  • @LearnThaiwithMod thanks for the answer

  • pom ... chorp ... muy thai ^-^

thats my first thai sentence ever :p

  • @paragshah2112 and you did great! :)

  • Quick question: at around 19 seconds when you show the Thai spelling, as it's written there is no tone mark and yet when you write it in English you show a tone mark. Am I missing something? Thanks. Another nice video.

  • @kwhatten

the word "to like" in Thai is chorp (fallign tone). In writing, ช is low-class consonant and บ is dead final consonant, so low-class + long vowel + dead final consonant = Falling Tone.

  • Oh I thought it was very good and helpful. Good audio clean image and set. Excellent lesson and pronunciation. Your pronunciation helps me say the word correct so people can understand what I say. Thank you Kru Mod.
