I think the smaller screen makes it easier to see everything with really moving your eyes to much. With larger screens you have to use your peripheral vision much more. In the past I have tired large screens like a 52 inch but it really brought down my performance, so I'll sick with a 22-26 inch monitor.

I have a similar question...If I have a 52 inch Dell TV and Shrink the size of the screen (it has options such as 4:3 which is what I'm using, Full Screen, Standard, etc.) does it make a big difference or would you recommend just getting a smaller TV?

sorry khaos your monitor is 5ms response with a 2ms GTG(Grey to Grey) They put 2ms on the top right of their monitors to trick you into thinking its response time but really its grey to grey, frustrating i know. Other than that nice set up

if you want to use ur tv as an extra monitor just plug a vga splitter into the vga port on ur computer. one goes to ur comp. monitor and one goes to the tv.

Khaos what do you think about playing Halo on a huge TV? I have a projection screen at about 80 inches at 1080p and I think i'm at a disadvantage because of the huge screen. I'm thinking about making it smaller somewhere in the 60 inch range (I sit pretty far away) to improve my gameplay. Is that a good idea?

personally I think 22" to 26" is the perfect size. You have to use less peripheral vision to see the whole screen, which should increase reaction time.

The monitor will have to have two inputs. Such as two VGA ins or 1 VGA and 1 DVI. If so you should be able to use the monitor for both.

I used to play on that 26" samsung and I can say that I love the smaller 22" due to the response time, quality, ease of transport for LANs, price, ect. I would defiantly look into a monitor before a LCD TV. The only down side is you don't get TV, but you can buy a TV tuner for your PC and your set. Just something to think about.
