I used to fish there every summer growing up in San Diego. I think I've even camped at that exact camping site. I moved to NC about 5yrs ago and I'm trying to figure out a way to take a trip and get back there. The upper lakes are awesome too.

@Kev2380 The upper lakes are just breathtaking. You can use the Big Pine camp ground as your basecamp and then overnight up at the lakes. This is just a beautiful, epic place to go. Thanks for the comment.
