I've dropped hundreds of time on concrete, completely submersed it in water multiple times, it's nearly gotten run over by a car, it fell off of a roller coaster, and was lost on the beach for a day. yeah. the iPhone1 is very durable. i dropped it on the floor and pavement several times. the screen is even cracked at several places, but it still works like a charm. i did however notice that the phone reacts to high noises, i.e music on a concert. the screen stops working after a while. a restart and its all good.
