I'll try it on my own bouzouki tomorrow (though it's tuned in GDAD). Do you know whether it's possible to tune up my D strings up an entire notch to E or just get E strings? ^^

I wont recommend to tune up a D string to E. The tension might be to high :
- The string could break
- The sound might be too hard and too short (lack of sustain)
- The tension might be harmful for the instrument (neck, table) and unbalanced.
FYI, on my bouzouki, the recommended gauge is .011 for D and .009 for E (plain steel).

@edelahaye I will break after a few times. Hard to play as well. If you do it that way, keep it that way. Just my opinion!
