Some are forced to loose weight to get the role. So, in part, its the director's fault. Also, they have to become the character that they're portraying and part of their character is their bodies... which I think is brilliant. I do applaud her efforts into "fitting in" to this role.

otra cosa la escena en sí es estupenda, es mi escena favorita de una gran película premiada con el Oscar a mejor Película del año.

la verdad que en mi humilde opinión en 0:45 cuando la cámara empieza a girar y Renee llega al climax del performance, es un instante icónico para el cine, además Renee, simplemente desaparece de la escena y da lugar al personaje, es estupendo como puedes ver el contenido emocional de Roxie, Renee es grandiosa.
