@fjl05 My Wii had the noise for about a year and a half, it worked fine but the noise was unbearable, but then it started getting worse so I bought a tri-wing screw driver of amazon for about £2, now its good. But if you don't trust yourself with taking it apart maybe just send it to Nintendo.
Another good solution is to slightly bend the edges of the contact points between the top and bottom plate of the clamp toward one another, increasing contact between them and the pressure between the two halves of the clamp. This effectively does the same thing as tightening the screws on either the clamp itself (pointed out in this video) or placing thick paper or other shock-absorbing material between the two halves of the clamp. All methods do the same thing; I used the bend method.
i couldn't adjust these screws any more when i fixed mine, i got some double sided sticky tape and used some gummy ends from the in ear headphones then stuck them onto the silver bit with the screws on but not the bearing arm (i used the spares) and then just put the silver metal plate on then the case and the pressure from the plate pushing down on the silver bit of the drive stopped the noise it worked for me i hope you can use it if you understand it :)
Slackening those screws may not be the best idea since it may cause instability in the bearing arm.
The problem is the top plastic bearing frame for the disc is touching the bearing arm when the disc is spinning. Check my account for a video to see the cause and fix. There is also another easier indirect fix I found on youtube where you just have to slacken one of the corner screws on the frame(missing in your video) that holds the bearing arm.
i have this problem too and some times in smash Brawl and when i playing online some time occurs the error"the disc could not be read" and now i guesssing what the problem is that noisy.

i took that whole attachment off, bent the bar a little upwards, put it back on and its perfect ;D

If I where to not do the fix, would something get damaged in the long run or it'll just continue to be noisy from here on?

Thank you!! This worked perfectly for me! Although I tightened mine and the noise stopped but when I loosened them it got loud.
