@rpgfreak92787 just fyi i do know manual...in real life and on the gt games, but on the ps2 my controller was hard to shift with because l2 and r2 wouldnt work unless it was a hard tap and sometimes it would jump 2 gears as if i hit it twice, i use it all the time on gt5 and got a newer controller for my ps2 so i do use manual on it too since then, and on gt5 prologue on the daytona track with a skyline g30 i think it is, i was 1st in the US and 3rd in the world for over a month awhile back.

@kostaVHjovanovic no it IS an auto transmission that i am doing this on. i just recently went back to playing GT4 and am using a manual tranny now. finally got used to the L2 and R2 on the PS2 controller. and on a lot of cars it is better to keep it going past the area the game shifts. try a dodge viper gts coupe in GT3 after you fully mod it. that is one of the biggest differences in the game

@masterchiefownsuall thats only because the game was made after the SVT cobra R production was stopped. so technically you couldnt get it new. the NORMAL mustang cobra was still being made tho. also love how they have f150 lightning and silverado SS but no srt-10 ram. its the quad cab hemi 4x4 which is only good modded as long as you dont have to turn or stop lol

@Feejky sorry but GT4 sucks completely compared to GT3 and GT5. GT4 was a failure in the GT line. and i dont know why but GT3 and GT4 i couldnt do manual and still be very good. GT5 prologue i have no problem with it. maybe the modification of the controller from PS2 to PS3 helped me. i dont know...

yeah you are right. when i got my PS2 it was only my 3rd time playing a plastation so i couldnt remember where triangle, circle and square were. i always mixed them up. so when i was playing my games i would usually mess up pretty badly. had NES, then N64, then Dreamcast, then PS2, now PS3. still have all of them except the N64 tho.

I got one question the Audi S3 its a turbo 5valves per cilinder 1800cc, and i tune the car a bit i put all the things on the engine port polish and everything the when i put a stage 2 turbo in the gauges in a race i see that i dont have turbo pression gauje on the right side of the screen then i put the stage 1 and he shows up same thing whit the stage 3 he shows up again, i dont know what hapenns is heird..if you know something please tell me i will like to know what it was :)

i never thought that was a secret, many people know that, i discovered that too by accident during the days of GT3. it can really be helpfull especially on very slow cars where every bit of speed is important to win some races. also some driving lessons are much easier with that trick it can be the difference between gold and silver prizes

well if you have a ps3 and gt5 prologue, you can look up the fastest times on the daytona oval with the nissan skyline 370 gt, last i knew i was 8th in the world and 1st in the US driving MANUAL i will have to check again to see what place i am now. i havent played in over a month. but the highest i got was 5th place before more japanese people started racing.

well for a road course look at my video titled "GT3 record beat" it is the ruf rgt on the complex string, and yes it is manual transmission. in the game most tracks have time programmed into them for the top 3, this is the top 3 times that the game producers did. i beat it by 2 seconds after 9 tries and my 3rd complete lap. you will see in the video i had 1st and 3rd place, the 3rd place was my 2nd full lap around the track, almost beat it there but kept trying. there's the skill you mentioned:)

pick auto transmission. then when the race starts hit the gas and hold R2 or L2. it will stay in 1st gear(or the gear the race started in if the race starts from a roll). then to shift just release R@ or L2 and hold again, it will keep you in whatever gear it was in until you release R2 or L2. its also cool because it works the opposite way too. if you have a high power rwd car, you can keep it in a higher gear around corners to keep traction. release R2 or L2 to let it gear down to speed up.
