The Republocrats offer small business and working people absolutely nothing. They are bought and paid for by the big corps; the American people cannot assume that "voting" is the way to change anything. Must do a week-month long NATIONAL STRIKE, for fair wages and return of proper pensions, must bring back Tariffs on imports...60% of Chinese imports are American companies that outsourced, I say tax em to hell and they'll think twice about outsourcing jobs to peasants that they exploit..wake up
I don't really see why Obama gets such criticism for. He may not have changed as much as we wanted, but considering the fact the Republicans and Democrats can't agree on anything and the state our country is in, I think he did the best he could. He got more accomplished than others seem to do so far. Kasich seems like a guy who will help you out, only if you help him. He's made it very clear he's planning to lay off alot of working people now that he's governor. Obama at least showed respect.
John Kasich's push to have Senate Bill 5 (scribbled by Shannon Jones) written into law, is a direct statement to all of Ohio's workforce- "We want it ALL". If you don't know what this bill is about, I suggest you read it. It can be found at legislature dot state dot OH dot US
Kasich won't raise taxes on the rich or on his corporate buddies but your car tags are going up by 40%. This is not a tax increase , it's just revenue enhancement.
Was anyone else surprised that the NRA and Ohioans for concealed carry both officially endorsed Ted Strickland over Republican John Kasich? I thought the NRA and Republicans went hand-in-hand. He must really hate guns for the NRA to step away from him and endorse a Democrat like that.
Was anyone else surprised that the NRA and Ohioans for Concealed Carry both endorsed Strickland and did not endorse the Republican John Kasich? I always thought that the Right and the NRA went hand-in-hand, but I guess not.
I think the ads that youtube/ohiodems are using in your name are despicable. Stealing footage from a poor independent filmmaker without permission makes me not trust the democratic party... and I'm somewhat liberal. I don't think I can trust someone who is endorsing such abhorrent behavior.
Congratulations Mr. Kasich and soon to be Governor on the latest poll numbers that now have you up 54% to 37% on Strickland. Keep up the hard work as Ohio needs your kind of leadership to get us out of the hole that Strickland put us in. Now more than ever with the new report out today that homes foreclosures are up another 19% in Ohio.
Can't say I like either, but at least there's less attack ads from this guy. Back in 2006, I can distinctly remember Strickland going on 10tv and talking about how much he hates negative ads. But I haven't even seen Strickland's name or face this year because our 2010 gubernatorial ads can fit into two different categories: Kasich's "Kasich is good" ads, and Strickland's "Kasich is bad" ads. Still, I'd rather not choose the lesser of two evils again in Ohio this year, it's really getting old.
1.We lost more than 400k jobs in Ohio to "free trade" with China and NAFTA which you voted for. I know of no legislation you can pin on Strickland that could cause those huge losses.
2.You sided with Clinton and the democrats on the ridiculous Assault Weapons Ban in 94'.
3.The "sun coming up again" isn't a plan. It isn't even remotely motivating.
4.I'm a Conservative and I see NO reason to vote for you. I think its best to leave the ballot blank for Governor.
@flyboymd82 Oh your smart, throw your vote away on trash and trash is all you'll ever get. Until the republicans wise up and start running real conservative candidates they aren't worth MY VOTE.
If Kasich wanted my vote, HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN EARNING IT LONG AGO! The biggest message you can send to these elitist is to show them the kind of candidates you want by only voting for the ones that earned it. Otherwise they will NEVER get the message. THAT is our ONLY hope in Ohio.
@ladefreakndah We didn't lose jobs to NAFTA and China, we lost jobs to the South and Western states that are beating the hell out of us economically because our tax structure is in the toilet. If I was looking to move a business or start a business, it would not be in Ohio, because I do not want to be taxed to death. Couple that with the union environment here, I would not touch Ohio with a ten foot poll. We need to fix the economy here, and Ted is not doing a very good job of it.
@Alexinytown "We didn't lose jobs to NAFTA and China"
Ha. Ha. Ha...
Yeah well if I was looking to start a "manufacturing" business, it sure as hell would not be in the US. If you were really wanting to do something about state level taxes you would be behind Ken Matesz. Not the RINO that made the export of manufacturing jobs easier.

Love these ads !
These thoughtless ads are a great sleep aid.
GE paid NO FEDERAL INCOME TAXES in 2010, and Kasich can convince working class people to take it up the ***, and abandon all their basic rights.
I guess Ohio workers built the roads for free as a favor to companies like GE, right Mr. Kasich ?
GE waves its little hand and says,"Thanks."
Wow, you can convince people to cut almost everything, except tax cuts for the rich, huh John?
(Anyway, love to all regardless.)
