Thats Doom's Night! by Azzido Da Bass. great electro tune.
Overall I think this show is fabulous, and I love the exxageration of the lipstick, very unique. This wasn't the best show but it was an accomplishment in my eyes.
I agree, for the amount of talent Alexander McQueen had. Who CARES if he's gay. This isn't the 1950s anymore, it's 2010. Get with it. He didn't make the impact, he CREATED it.
The influences range from Balenciaga, Givenchy, MC Escher, Jaques Fath, Christian Dior, to Thierry Mugler's 1995 fall collection, Leigh Bowery and "Brazil" (which is nauseating), and even a hint of Jeanne Lanvin's 1946 "Cyclone" gowns. I'm astounded so much can be pulled together in such a strangely cohesive way. One wonders what the creative process for something of this nature must have been? Oh to spend 5 minutes in McQueens mind.
brilliant collection, i like the way the music seems to be something dieing with the machine pulse, speaking of such its nice a fall collection thats not a sea of furs. i like the dogtooth and dior new look 'look'. however im not a fan of the dresses where it fades from tweed into birds, becuase in one of my past projects research i have found this before by a london graduate fashion designer
LOVE the grey houndstooth daywear - it captures everything that was ever right about the 1950's. I love the degrade' houndstooth that turns into birds (an MC Escher pattern). Yet it's not a lazy rehash of 50's couture - dare I say, his designs, mimicking the 50's, transcend the originals. A true McQueen collection, this combines elegance with horrible taste, elegance with vulgarity, and utter beauty with horrifying ugliness.
And I love the models 50's poses with those bizarre looks.
the collection is like a recycling of the past collections that's what the all the stuff in the middle are piece of the runways, even the clothes are just done in a new way and mixed with different collections. its so good
My favorite collection this season by far. Lee has outdone himself and perhaps saved the environment. The Leigh Bowery lips, Commes de Garcon headpieces were a true luxury to see and the blown up houndstooth a la Mugler was incredible craftsmenship....Bravo
I hope McQueen isn't a fortune teller - if this is a vision of the end of the world, I'm quite frightened.
Good lord - all the music is like a trip through my childhood in the 90's. And why are all the soundtracks recycling one another? Chloe, Lagerfeld, Mcqueen, Iceberg, Cavalli, Gaultier, Fendi, Valentino... the soundtracks all share the SAME songs over and over, amongst themselves and within themselves. McQueen already used that heartbeat (F04) and "Dooms Night" (S04).

It's not Mr. Oizo, it's the ever omnipresent "Dooms Night" by Azzadio da Bass. It's a reference to the S02 collection.
