Well you sorta need to go down so you can fight Mother Brain. You can't get to the end of the game if you don't fight all the bosses.

Hey bikdionabus gota question. How do you jump so high is it cause this is a dif version? I have watched your videos and i cannot jump as high as you do.

Well it is an older version, but I don't think the jump height was ever changed. You just have to have good timing, and be sure to hold the jump button, not tap it.

It's never actually stated - that's what makes it so funny. And while it's not actually based on this, the same thing is brought up in Stinkoman - everyone says he's the guy, but 1-up wants to be the guy too. But he's just a kid, maybe when he's older.

My theory is that "The Guy" is sort of like a king, and the only way to become The Guy is to kill the current one, or inherit the throne somehow (Bowser was once The Guy, but is still alive, so he must have given the title to someone else)

That part between :21 and :23 is much harder than it looks. I just got by it today. I died like 30 times before I got it down, then when I finally did I died on the next screen before I could save. It took me awhile to get past that. I love the Metroid theme.
