  • I love fortepiano sound *_*

  • Good, nice.

  • I can listen to this & only this forever & be perfectly fine with it. What a stud Wolfie was

  • This is excellent. I think the 1st movement of this concerto is equally excellent. Which one do you like most: 1st movement or 3rd movement?

  • a great performance, by the way, a wonderful formal trick by mozart, the ending. he kind of pulls our leg, pretending in the last minute (9:27) to outragously begin the second theme of the rondo after the end, like what he did in 1:11 ff. and then beautifully rounding it up for a second ending

  • God exists, and is btw those notes...Great Masterpiece! Great Wolfi!

  • Absolutely euphoric!!!

  • mozart è il più grande compositore mai esistito

  • starting at 4:00, it's also quite heavenly;sounds a little bit like the Concerto for Harp and Flute

  • He wasn't wowing the European royalty and other composers by playing conventional Bach.

They thought he was a gift from God. (I tend to believe he was...)

  • 3:05 was like the gates of heaven opening

  • You're such a drama queen.....

  • The audio is soo soft it kind of bothers me. beautiful piece though.

  • para mi, es el mejor concierto para piano y orquesta de todos los que hizo

  • I think Szell plays way too softly.

  • The movie Amadeus is the reason i started playing piano...its amazing.

i was 6 when i first watched the movie and ive been playing by ear ever since <3

  • Sublime

  • Mozart could play this with his hands reversed, while sitting on top of the piano.

  • In movies.

  • No, according to letters his wife and Shikaneder wrote.

  • @Malegnius

Well Mr. Mozart "expert." Help yourself to the numerous biographies from his contemporaries at the time.

Leopold made Mozart perform blindfolded, hands crossed, upside-down and in reverse. He could play a composition after only hearing played once.

Nobody worth his credit has ever disputed this.

  • Playing pieces in his childhood and playing a full movement of a concerto is not quite the same thing. With that said, it wouldn't surprise me if he could, in fact, play this with his hands reversed..

  • I never said I am some Mr. Mozart "expert", but I am too gullible to believe every 18th century letter. Sure, he could perform blind-folded and what-not, but I strongly doubt he could perform a long concerto completely blindfolded with his hands crossed.

  • and the cadenza with his toes ! lol

  • It's beautiful... I love that.

  • Cest´t magnific!!!

  • Amadeus: Original Soundtrack Special Edition: Directors Cut

    en el Ares hay

  • I like this,and the 15's...Are similar...

  • yes

  • just sublime

  • where to buy this version ??

  • Had this piece in my mind for 3 or so years since I saw the film and could never find a list of the pieces in the film. Found it =]

  • It's in the credits. Since I assume your talking about Amadeus the performance is Sir Neville Mariner and the Academy of St. Martins in the fields with Ivan Morevec as soloist.

  • it's beautiful, isn't it?

  • @MattyJaaay I can still hear his laugh in the movie

  • The first thing I thought of when I heard this piece is Mozart's Concerto No 15 in B flat. K450 I think.

  • If this isn't the very definition of pastoral music, what is??

  • I don't really get that from this Rondo. Beethoven's 6th Symphony is.

  • He was a genius.

  • I love this piece so much, I heard it in the movie and couldn't remove it from my mind

  • Yeah same!!

  • fantastic!!!

  • Ah, 1:20, it is for but a moment the only reason I listen to the concerto; it is sensational.

  • It is great the way it's introduced almost as a tantalizing false second group and then aborted, only to be recalled at the very end as part of the coda. Just an example of the subtle things Mozart does to finish and balance his structures perfectly.

  • For me, it's the BIG resolution at 6:17!!

  • long live mozart

  • I love this piece

Thankyou so much for posting it

  • i love Mozart more than god

  • Well if your an atheist its simple right?

  • @theoudplayer

You may want to take a look at my piano sonatas Nr. 1,2,3, which I uploaded here on youtube. They are in classical style, I´m searching in people who may actually be interested in them.

    Good luck

    ComposerTS

  • @theoudplayer Well God is creator of everything, Lucifer was head of the ministry of music in Heaven and now lucifer inspires everyone with music ( Mozart) so how can't put anything else above God,, look back God is greater has given him the gift im just saying and YES btw im christian !!

  • @sbabesz1 nah, now you take it too far. I understand you believe in God and such, but believing Mozart's music is inspired by Lucifer is just plain dumb. That's the same as saying God is responsible for all the evil deeds in the world. Let's just say he created the universe etc., and then left and didn't interfere with anything since.

  • YES my fovorite piece!! :P

i also heard it first in the movie amadeus, and i love it!!!

thank you so much for uploading!!! (L)

  • I'd been looking for this piece for ages, i'd heard it first in the Amadeus film but didn't know the name - THANKS A ZILLION FOR UPLOADING

  • when he walks down the street piano concertono 15 is playing

  • really good music!!! Mozart was, is, and will be continue being great!!!!

By the way, is this a Rondó?? I was anylising this piece, but I'm not really sure...

  • Hello! yes, it is a rondo :)

  • The finale may certainly be considered a Rondo, it is just not presented in a rigid form.

  • beautiful music

  • I still remember the scene in Amadeus where he walks down the streets of Vienna to this tune. It was either this or Piano concerto 15. Both were great moments in movie history.

  • Great film. And it was the 1st movement of the 15th in that scene. But they are both very similar in their enthusiasme!

  • it was 22...watch it again

  • Sorry, it was the 3rd movement of the 15. Piano Concerto in the movie, not the 1st.

  • One of my favorites. :)

  • The blithely finessey and birdlike hopping qualities that the pianist delivers the subject with are an absolutely delight. This performance is very interesting & whimsical.

    BRAVO!

  • A Great concerto of a Hreat men Arriba Mozart...Thank for this Video.

  • oohhh, my favorite Mozart Piano Concerto, in a splendid performance! many thanks for sharing this!

  • Love this song, first hearing it on amadeus

  • Thanks so much for posting this. Real music, performed well for a change!

  • I love how they used this in the movie Amadeus. You see Mozart sitting full of joy behind the piano, playing a piano part, and when he's done he conducts the orchestra. He was just such a musical genius.

  • I love that part oh my God

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOZART!!!!!
