  • jbl is junk since harmon took over

  • tengo una bocina EON 315 y no es lo que yo esperaba sorry

I have loudspeaker EON 313 but its not good for me

  • Not enough volume, g2 volume is supreme compared to the new 300 or 500 series. They are not supposed to need an amp to sound louder, thats why they are active speakers, and the loud version of this speakers the 515XT is way too expensive, that is the power that the 315 should have.

  • i like the in puts

  • They're cute! They look outer spacey! LIKE them! Like the design!

  • i highly dislike these speakers. i used 4 of the subs and 2 tops... the bass was not low, the highs weren't loud enough. i was disappointed with the system since it does look quite powerful and intimidating.

i could use two EV tops and two EV SBA760s and it'd be 3x as loud as last night.

  • I recently played at a Barnight club in Chicago, and I used 2 515 eon and 2 518 subs and the owner came to me and said to lower it the bar was shaking the glasses.. the place filled 100-150 people.

  • would a mixer make thses speakers sound louder???...n e 1???

  • @Peppa1978 no, mixers dont, just gives you inputs. and eq options and what not

  • @jennafan14 o....well thx n e wayz, guess i need an upgrade then

  • @Peppa1978 yea you need a amp thats what makes it loud

  • @jennafan14 Why would be the point of using an amp? that is why they are powered speakers, they have crown am inside. Amps are supposed to be for passive speakers, just not loud enough

  • is it normal that these have a low hissing sound when i have them on and no music playing? no cables except power cord i am kinda worried hope mine arent deffective please let me know thanks

  • are they sold sperate or they sell them in pairs?

  • seperate... 800 for each 515, 600 for each 510, and 900 for the 518s

  • can i buy those speakers and play them live in my radio ? or i need some kinds of amplifier and all ?

  • they are active so you dont need any amplifier.

  • I just dj-ed with just one of these bad boys (515) and I was blown away at the bass reproduction and the clarity. Two 515's and the 18" subwoofer could easily run a bar or small club!

  • wooot b3 is the best beta three speakers...active pa system.

  • I've dragged EONs all over the planet, subjecting them to incredible abuse. These are GREAT powered speakers, among the most reliable ever made!

  • i just bought 2 eon 315 and i really like them

  • how big of a crowd can u play to with 1 of them ? cause right now i only have money for 1.. please reply

  • if you bought a 500 series you can do little outdoor party or small indoor places

50 peoples not more (i think) and if you buy a 300 series, you better wait to have the money to buy 2 cause with 1 you will not have fun with it. its my opinion but it depends on what you do (dj or live music) in order to have a good sound i strongly recommend 2 speakers. and last look at the difference in the price range between 500 & 300 series and the power that 300 series gives its, to my opinion, good !!!

  • thanks for the reply and very nicely described, but i was looking at getting the eon 315 but i was looking around and saw that the ( Behringer B415DSP 600W ) was at the same price and dont no which to choose. ( my budget is $550 )

  • i recommend the jbl cos behringer sound awful i was looking for it too....and when i heard the difference my choice go on the JBL ;-)

  • small crowds in small places like for 50 people maybe until 70 people and depending if you put it on the floor or use a stand pole...

  • Man I remember hauling around these huge JBL cabs back in the early 80s', they will kill you. Now Things are so much more portable. Fantastic.

  • I still have & use my JBL TR125 speakers from 10 years ago. They still sound awesome. I would like to get some newer powered speakers. I think I will when my 50G come in from my 401K.

Gotta go to Ebay to get the best price though.

  • this has to be the worst presentation I have ever see... where's the sound of it!?!?!?!

  • Maybe you could explain what would be the point of recording the sound of a loudspeaker with a microphone and sending it through Internet ?

  • showing the product what else?

  • idiot... You should already know what jbl are capable of. How are you going to whitness the pure brilliance of sound through your pissy little computer speakers?? thats like making your tea and sending it via email.. its pathetic.

  • @audiofanzinetv showing the product... oh I see you have such wonderful ears you can go full 44.100mhz in "real life".... this sucks worst review ever, it's like showing a car parked or a plane sitting in the hangar... 0% marketing

  • @BR177 Im a musician and I think this are the best portable loudspeakers, because it has a coldown system, the trademark is maybe the best, it has really big power and u can mix up to 3 instruments witouth external mixer. Really, maybe there are loudspeakers with more power, but, why u want one, if u cant carry it? heavyweight instruments are really bad for your health, seriously.

  • @audiofanzinetv hahahah. Good one audiofanz..i was just thinking the same thing. You gotta here it in person to know how it sounds.

  • @BR177 damn you just got smacked hahahaha

    i own these-im a mobile dj-they are goldenn

  • @BR177 well it doesnt really matter to hear them online, cuz i did, and i just bought 6 of them and im dissapointed

  • There are a few things with jbl I don't like. Price - They are extremely expensive

Power output - There are other brands of self powered speakers that dilivers beter spl's at the same watts rms, for eg. the make Skytec.

Jbl, you pay for a brand name. There are other lesser known brands in the industry that will blow your socks away and perform better than your well known brands for half of the price.

  • what's SPL?

  • SPL stands for (sound pressure level) This is how hard the sound is, this can be measured in db's (Decibels) for eg. The spl of a 747 Boeing is +- about 140 DB's. Your ears start to develope permanent damage at 95 DB's.

  • but will not last half as long as the JBL's. you pay for what you get, and JBL are expensive because they are built to last. . that embarrassing saying SKYTEC are a company, they're useless and cheap.

Also Crown now supply the amplification for JBL's and if you know what your talking about then you will know that Crown are one of if not the best known amp designers in the world.

  • Exactly-JBL speakers are bulletproof and will last a lifetime! It's akin to in the dj world owning a Technics 1200 turntable vs. a Gemini turntable.JBL produces nothing but professional grade equipment,SKYTEC is entry level bargain basement crap!JBL EONS are not expensive at all when considering the fact that they can take a ton of abuse, won't overheat and require little maintenence. You pay for the quality of materials and the engineering that went into developing these machines-it's worth it.

  • Have you compared the skytec and the the jbl side by side and listened to them side by side? I have a pair of Jbl g2's and a pair of skytec's. The jbl's I allready had to replace one driver and the skytec's are still 100%. My skytec's are used more frequently than the jbl's.

  • maybe you should invest in some REAL JBL's then and not fake ones. Am I really having to explain why not to use Skytek? I mean come on. If you think they are similar or that the Skyshite are better then your in the wrong business and you have no sence of hearing. Go be a vet or something mate.

  • Add the costs of an amp, and all the additional things you would need and they are a DEAL. Light as hell and can be used as a small mini PA, or added up as a cool satelite type rig. Crown amp, JBL technology and you can throw it in your car!!

  • too bad they are expensive as fuck.

  • You get what you pay for though- JbLs are bullet proof. I have a pair of G2s and it was the best investment I've ever made. First of all I can fit my entire rig in my car- don't need a van. Second, you don't ave to worry about amps overheating or your speakers blowing. Third, you have great sound. After a couple of gigs the speakers pay for themselves and they hold their value

  • good portable loudspeakers. i like the sound and the design.
