  • @greymoose1000 =piece of shit University of Scumbag Criminals cali fan boi, stuck on ND's nuts by trolling all their videos. USC will forever be Notre Dame's bitch! CRY ON!

  • USC Sucks! CRY ON!

    USC=ND's Bitch!

  • 0:04 what that song call?

  • At least the Irish aren't banned from Bowl games...TROJANS!

  • @fishergrl78 RUDY - FICTION PERSONIFIED! COACH KELLY - MURDERER PERSONIFIED! USC - CLASS PERSONIFIED! GREYMOOSE - GREATNESS PERSONIFIED!

  • Rudy and the Catholic Church = Fiction!!!

  • This man deserves respect! If a person does not know how to express themselves in a polite manner, they do not need a inspirational video. They might need a psychologist, or therapist. This tip is for all those who guzzled to much beer during sports events, the point Rudy is trying to get across is not about sports, it's about achieving a goal.

  • FIGHT ON!!! USC TROJANS.

  • im like ligit best friends with his niece. he was just over at her house the other day:)

  • @greymoose1000

    Fagg

  • @DoBe0001 Are you conflicted???? The ND Murdering Irish in DOMER Land covering up the death of their own student who the murderer Kelly ordered. The Trojan Nation and all good people with character across this nation demand justice for they young student and his family. We demand an immediate investigation from a nonpartisan team to determine who participated in the order to murder the young student with that Butcher Kelly.

  • @greymoose1000 what the hell r u talking about?! ur a complete fag if u think kelly planed that whole thing! ok, explain 2 me how in the name of living hell kelly is going 2 send a call 2 frickin mother nature and say " i have a student tapeing practice, could u make it storm and kill him but let the rest of us get out safely?" lemme guess, ur a trojan fag rnt u? cuz only some1 from usc could go off and say something as totally gay as that!! GO IRISH

  • @mrhatman707 Go Irish Go! Around the Bowl and Down the HOLE!!! GO IRISH GO!

  • Greymoose

    Fag

  • THis is typical ND fantasy!!! Never happened and ND knows this to be the case. Fight ON USC BABY!!!!

  • Rudy is my gym teacher's brother! No joke we ask him about Rudy all the time.

  • Hollywood changes shit for the story

  • Too bad ND now has a rapist on its team.

    Burn in hell.

  • if anyone knows who those 2 guys were THAT WANTED RUDY TO DRESS, please let me know or post it!!! americanstripes@yahoo.com I'd love to know who those 2 guys were.............

  • @VIKING33NY i know im appllying to this late , but the players actually had nothing to do with it , it was all the coaches idea , hollywood protrade the coach as a dick , but they just did that so it was another obstical that he had to face and achieve

  • @TheBlackhawk58 Thanks for the reply I do appreciate your honesty. Cool!!

  • What a great movie!!! Wow!!!! Just a true inspirational movie!!!! Wow!!!

YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE IF YOU GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT!!!1

    God bless you all!!!!

  • such an awsome storie always makes me cry alittle

  • SAY NO TO THE BIG TEN!.

    WE ARE ND.

  • Thank God for Rudy. Rudy is the true "dreaming" person. Dream big, the sky is the limit.

  • I don't even like football and this movie inspired me to go against all odds. this film is one of my favorite films of all time.

  • the best sports story ever

  • I see how he used The Hidden Secret in Think and Grow Rich too genpatton ;) Good to know there's another person out there who can understand how all the pieces of goal achievement fit together naturally.

Rudy used it throughout the movie without even knowing it because it was so natural in the first place. PPA and a lot of natural persistence as well as a mastermind too.

    Great movie and book!

  • Great vid! I liked how the spliced the "real" Rudy with the movie Rudy.

Just goes to show that if you have that burning desire like Napoleon Hill said in Think and Grow Rich, anything's possible. It's a great book to read and also Brian Kim's The Hidden Secret in Think and Grow Rich if you like motivational and inspirational books.

Once you read that, you'll understand what the natural process of goal achievement is and see how people liked Rudy used it to achieve their dreams.

  • he was a very small person who had almost no athletic ability, but he knew tht wouldnt stop him for playing with the best team in the nation. (at that time)

  • i have this movie

  • Um, that's kind of the point.

  • is rudy a mongoloid or something? good for him

  • Good Job Rudy!!!

  • Notre Dame needs to fire charlie weis.....

  • are you serious?!? ND had amazing talent when weis came! he didnt do any of that!

  • Comment removed

  • I feel that this man answered the call of GOD and he got exactly what he wanted. Right here just in this movie/video/documentary you get smacked in the face reality and it's saying you can do whatever you want to do as long as you have the heart and desire for it. My goal is the same as Mr. Ruettiger's and that is to go and play football for Notre Dame. I will follow my dream like him and succeed on the way. Thank you Mr. Ruettiger for paving the way for future generations!!

  • cry babies? well u dumbass in college football u get hurt u dont play so they suck it up u dont know shit from from ur minute needle featherweight dick nd by the way do u no how tough it is to get the right form to tackle nd if u ever got tackled ud be a fucking cry babby we grew up and ur gay and we no ur to skinny to fit into tights that we dont wear get some nuts

  • It's obvious wagsk8throo has never seen Rudy. Most inspirational movie I have ever seen. It changed my life for the better and I don't even play football.

  • No;

    Rudy is amazing

    he lived the Dream!

    The American Dream!!!!!

    r u a chick?????

    think about it!

    look at that crul commet!!!!!

    Rudy had a dream

and he climbed mounts to get it!!!!!!!]

    dont hate!!!!

  • no life i guess wagssk8throo. did someone kick ur ass in highschool? footballs not gay, ur gay.

  • The Rudy movie was great, but as is common with movies "based on true stories" it is juked up with bullshit. Ex; in the movie, at the end, nearly the whole team is focused on Rudy with him being hauled off a hero. In real life, it was just a couple of players half-assed holding him up briefly with no one else paying any attention. The players never threatened to quit either. Oh well, Hollywood.

  • He inspired me and my whole Family. forget tony robbins, he earned for what he wanted for, i wish at this time we all as Americans have his spirit to pull us out of this tough time. Thank You Mr. Ruettiger.

  • I met Rudy. I agree with "the losing irish", he IS an asshole!!! Like a lot of ND fans, he's arrogant when he doesn't have anything to be arrogant about. Also, he's not the brightest guy you'll ever meet. It's embarrassing.

Oh, well . . . we are ND.

  • I think the entire story of his life is an inspiration...

  • this guy named rudy is my uncle..ii am very proud of him and ii am very proud of my whole family ii have 26 aunts and uncles on the ruettiger side and 24 on my mom's side they have all seen this movie and are all proud of my uncle danny and they have all accomplished a lot i have 7 brothers and sisters and hope to accomplish a lot in my life to...love rudy's lil princess that is what he calls me and ii am ohk with that

  • ha that must suck to be a tech fan

  • i ment he great a great guy

  • this video was good

    looking for friends 6P

  • Rudy was offsides! GO TECH!

  • I met Rudy one time. He's an asshole.

  • Ok you met him, what made him an asshole. Please come back with a little integrity.

  • Don't pay attention to that idiot

  • Fuck you this guy is my hero.

  • F/Cali here - MSG me on MSN. ID is in my profile. B

  • Long live the dream!! I've met many successful people in my life, and I've also met many people who have given up. One thing that I've noticed in talking to both types of people, is that the one's who didn't give up, the one's who achieved their dream.....they're the one's who tell you to go for it and not to give up. The one's who have given up, are the one's who tell you that your dream is unrealistic, and to think more simple. DREAM BIG AND LISTEN TO THE ONE'S WHO ACHIEVED THEIR DREAMS.

  • actually samwise

  • everytime i see this movie i still cry...

  • FRODO

  • Rudy is an Inspiration to everyone!!!!!!!

everyone should take his example. never give up on your dreams. even when it looks bad and dark. even when people tell you u cant do it. u must believe that u can do it. follow your dream always........... because life without dreams isnt life at all......

    THE POWER OF THE DREAM!

  • Unclefestus, what is wrong with you? You are going on and on about how Rudy lived his life for only one moment and the rest of it without a goal, but what on earth makes you think that's true? It's not like that in life we only ever make goals in our youth and that's it. After Notre Dame, he most likely developed new goals and sought them out - even into old age. Priorities and dreams never end, and Rudy had a prestigious collepe degree to go on. Your statements are ridiculous.

  • This is just what I gathered from the movie. Aside from the movie, I know almost nothing else about him. I don't claim to be the expert, and perhaps it was just the way the movie portrayed him, but that seems to be the way Rudy was, based on the movie. Yes, I know movies exaggerate true life events.

  • Aw, when Rudy starting crying, I couldn't help myself, I did too. It's remarkable what great stories can do. His story and this movie taught me the true meaning of perseverence, hard work, and most of all HEART.

  • I try to instill in my son the same drive that Rudy instills in everyone.. Be the best you can be. Above everything.. above all obstacles. persevre. and you will be all that you can be.

  • I don't care if he got half a sack or a sack. Rudy is the best!

  • Y the hell does it end early?

  • This is an inspirational story of the underdog defying the odds! Best movie of 1990s.

  • I have met Rudy in person, love this clip!

  • He edleast got half the sack.

  • I saw the real video still a sack is a sack he still tackled the QB.

  • your an idiot you know that. he did get the sack. the other person helped him but he was the first one to tackle him.

  • Pheeelupwashere stop hating

  • Ya know, I'm gonna take back what I said earlier. I realized how awesome it is that this kid, that never had a shot at greatness, never had a chance to play for his team, who kept getting told that he's just dreaming.... he became one of the most famous players the team has ever had. Now his name is synonymous with players that have a lot of heart but no chance. Amazing.

  • "Now his name is synonymous with players that have a lot of heart but no chance."

I think his name is really more synonymous with PEOPLE doing ANYTHING in life that have a lot of heart but keep getting told they "have no chance."

  • I watch Rudy on average once a week because it is so inspirational.

    NOTRE DAME FIGHTING IRISH

  • same here man, especially during football season... before every single game..

God, Country, Notre Dame in Glory Ever Lasting

  • Yes, and I am still waiting for that defining USC movie... that has been filmed, and the name of it is????..... mmmmm......well.....How to deliever Pizza to UCLA grads????

  • this video was cut off, is there any more????

  • INSPIRATIONAL. Its about having a dream and working hard to achieve your dream. i love RUDY. one of the best sports movies ever made

  • Amen to that

  • He did a motivation assembly at my highschool in Febuary my sophmore year. It's a great movie two thumbs up and it proves that anyone can do anything in their life but the assembly was a joke. He was kinda cocky and was practicly saying, Hey! go out and buy my movie so I can get some more money.

  • One of the most inspiring movies i have ever seen..The guy never gave up!!!

  • I am retired air force and I feel that the guy put his heart into his love for Notre Dame and his heart put forth all effort, that is all one can ask for in life, to put forth ones love for a purpose.

  • Best movie ever. Period

  • Best sports movie ever, yes.

    FIGHT ON USC!!!

  • I hate Notre Dame, I'm a MIchigan fan but how do you not love this movie? My mom doesn't like football and she cries all the time at this film. Is it 100 percent true? No. But there's a core there that IS and that's enough for us.

  • what school has the highest % of student/atheletes that graduate?.. hmmm..

  • the answer is Princeton... like 95%

  • For Graduation Sucess Rate, the answer is.. Notre Dame at 98%... Navy is 99% but they Don't give grant in aid scholarships for athletes ,now do they? Is Princeton 1 A ?

  • for all u fags who just leave comments saying how bad the movie is, why the hell do u even search for it on youtube in the first place...how can u not like this movie, my favorite of all time, whos cares if its nortre dame...i got to psu and i hate notre dame but i love this fucking movie, best sports movie of all time

  • Man, if you go to PSU and you still love this movie, then you sincerely love it. I don't know how anyone can see this and not love it.

  • i agree, and yes i really do love this movie

  • Beauty.

  • Something is wrong with you if you think this movie is depressing. It's a movie...don't look at the big picture.

  • Ha I live in the Bend and the funny thing is he became a car salesman after college. FUCK ND

  • he's a motivational speaker and makes quite a good living dumbass

  • If not for the movie, he would just be a nobody. He wanted to run out of the tunnel and he did that. What I was getting at was, now that he's done everything he wanted to do...... now what? That'll depress anyone. I hear it depressed Troy Aikman after he won the super bowl.

  • Perhaps now he is, but if you know so much about him than you should know that he WAS a car salesman after college and he got jacked up in the dealership by Theismann in 1978 for doing unchristian like thing's with Theismann's girl's. Of course since South Bend is so pussy whipped by ND you dont get to hear much about these stories except by the ones who witnessed them....Oh yeah and as I stated earlier...Fuck ND and Fuck you

  • yea have fun at your d-III school and your job at the gas station....beano build me a house

  • nice

  • I never claimed I know anything about Rudy. I admit, I don't know a THING about him except from the movie. I don't even know what percentage of the movie is true. It just depresses me to think he spent his whole life for one moment, and when he's about 20, it's over. Living life without a goal is sad, I must say. I also knew nothing of him being a car salesman. Oh, and fuck you too. ;)

  • i think we are missing the point, if rudy was bond for success in his life he would have gone to ND with no problem. The reason why this story is so good is because he was not bond for success and he willed himself to get what he wanted.

The movie is inspirational & by far one of the greatest sports films ever created. It shows us that no matter what are dreams are (big or small) that they are accomplishable if we willing to sacrifice for them.

  • PS. Im replying to unclefestus. Guy clearly never played football. probably way to soft.

  • I did play football. I was a lineman. And I'm not saying he wasn't successful or anything like that. What I was getting at was, if he is about 20 or so and already did everything he wanted in life, what else is there to live for? I know he did become successful but what did he have to look foward to? THAT is what I was getting at.

  • oh ya i hear you

  • uncle-fez:

Rudy did what any athlete does when the glory days are over; it's called moving on.

Locally, one of our greatest high school wrestlers chose not to go to college and ended his career as a state champ. He stayed in the area, raised a family, etc. He found new stuff "to live for."

    That's what people do.

  • I would hope so. I don't have the slightest idea what he did, but the way the movie made it out to be seemed kinda depressing. Now if he moved on, that's great. I also bet he made a good bit of money because of the movie. I hope he did move on. I really do. I don't know enough to make an assumption, but I just wonder what he lived for after Notre Dame.

  • He's done pretty well for himself. For the last 15 years, that I'm aware of, he's made a rather lucrative living as a motivational speaker. I read the transcrips of one of his lectures that he preformed for Dow Chemical. My friend, it is powerful stuff. I just wish I could have heard it in the first person.

  • He came to my school...Mesa High School...Mesa, Arizona and spoke to him personally because he talked to our football team before the school. Sorry to say but he wasn't a good speaker. He is a sucessful man but a lot were disappointed including myself. Please don't get me wrong because his life is a great story of achievement, believing, never giving in, and following your dreams but I just didn't enjoyed it. Sorry to say but he isn't a good speaker.

  • That too bad. Sometimes messages, even powerful messages, can get lost in the delivery. He's done a good job in the past so it may be that your expectations were so high that no one would have been able to meet them. In any event, it's important to remember that no one is able to deliver everytime. We are only human after all. It's an interesting story to say the least

  • LOL...you sound like a Trojan :)

    FIGHT ON SC!!!

  • I wish God would put Rudy's heart in this year Fighting Irish Bodies. They SUCK!!!! I will always love them, but they suck...BAD!

  • i love this movie<333

  • This movie changed my life forever! It's all about believing in yourself and working hard and never giving up. Thank you Rudy!

  • courage, the true meaning of following your dreams

  • i agree w/ u tht movie is da bomb

  • One've my fave movies of all time. If you have not seen it, ppl, SEE it.

  • sounds about right, if you annoy enough people you can join Division I football for a program in between championship seasons...

  • Bullshit the jersey thing never happened. the whole point was that the most of the team did it. They told everyone they did it. was he gonna kick them all off? ur an idiot! btw, he did whine about anything. he showed up and worked his ass everyday for nothing and eventually asked for a favor. they gave it too him cuz he deserved it, not cuz he whined his way into it

  • you're the idiot one!!! this movie is al about hope, trust, teamwork, caring all of about six pillars and when you think your alone there's always by your side

  • yeah, of course it is tilted that way. what sports movie isnt. but it is based on fact, not some directors wet dream bout how a football movie should go. u think he just pulled all the scenes out of his ass?

  • did you watch the movie? thats for his dream and his father, brother any more dumbass

  • What? what u just said makes no sense. i didnt mentioon his family at all. what are u tlking about?

  • how come the thing is not finished....

  • ok, let's get this straight. Was he disliked by other players and students? I do like the movie a lot but i find it interesting that you dont see quotes or documentary footage from his teammates or anyone else.

  • Since when is the ultimate goal of life being liked? Or more accurately when did the best indicator of righteousness and integrity come from public approval?

  • This movie changed my life! I went back to college in my late 30's and got out of my B.S. factory job.

Remember folks,,this isnt a SPORTS MOVIE,,its a movie about the human spirit and going for your dreams,,,cuz if ya don't go for what you really want in life, you will end up pissed off at the world and hanging out with a bunch of losers who are also pissed off at the world and wonder "What coulda been."

  • RUDY WAS OFFSIDES!!!! lol jk but that sack is a little cheesey still one of the best sports movies ever tho. Lets Go Penn State

  • Sack was cheesy? It actually happened..

  • This is THE greatest sports film ever.

  • Yup...my football team had Thursday night movies to bring the team together. The classics...Hoosiers, the longest yard...and Rudy. It stays with me to this day. Awesome film, better soundtrack, best message. Thanks for the post.

  • this guy is my hero =] my name is Rudy also and its like he makes me feel soooooooo sooooo small...im trying to do something similar in wrestling...but its really tough with 9 classes in high school... + wrestling...gosh how did Rudy do it?!

  • we were gonna watch rudy in school but according to our teacher it had bad language

  • try to convince your teacher. my teacher brought it in for us to watch when i was in junior high

  • now i'm not in her classes anymore so we could probably watch it

  • I love this movie and Notre Dame. Go Irish!

  • Rudy the best Notre Dame Movie, At the end Rudy got carried of the Feild, Thats the only time a notre dame football playre got carried of the stage. ND FOREVER!!!!!

  • gets you pump up for football.....go big red

  • Thank you for posting this up. I have the video, the soundtrack and everything. This movie is the only reason that I earned my degree. All those years in my college day, so lonely, so hard, so much tears. Even now, I still use the idea of this movie. Every time I listen to the theme music, it boost my spirit 1000000000000x times. Thank you..

  • It doesn't matter if he was an asshole or not.. he did something some people only dream of. He had more heart than anyone that was on that football team.

  • well the captains and stuff really did threaten to sit the game if rudy couldnt dress...so he couldnt have been that disliked

  • dumbass get your facts right my dad played on this team with him.....great guy.....notre dame haters

  • uuhh dick.. i SAID... that he couldnt have been disliked..bitch..because the captains actually laid down their jerseys if he couldnt play.. asshole... i was implying that he must have been well liked.. shithead

  • The jersey thing never happened. Dan Devine said he would have kicked anybody who did that off the team. It was comeplete bullshit. This guy basically annoyed people into doing what he wanted.

  • hey the guy had to be an ass hole or he would never had the detemenation to play football and get in to school

  • Wonderful and interesting revealing of the story behind the story! I'm glad this is online, and learned from it. Great job Rudy! Persistence in your goals paid off, and we are here to celebrate it with you! A Notre Dame fan

  • good for you...God bless you rudy...

  • One of my all time favorite movies.....but, FIGHT ON TROJANS!!!

  • fuck USC go ND

  • word

  • LOL, after the last few years I understand your anger bro :)

    Fight on!!!

  • blow me

  • Great movie..great university...great team...all ND haters are wannabes

  • i go to Joliet Catholic Academy and i play football. the weight lifting coach for our team is Francis Rueetiger, rudy's brother, hes a great guy....good family

  • Love the music in this moive.

  • my dad went to both the film game and the origional game

  • i love the movie
