Lincoln, really respect your work. I want to know if you've ever tried any spiritual drugs (DMT) and what your perspective on it is...
It doesn't seem like the purest path, but after 3 years of trying to become more spiritual, it by far has given me the biggest leap. Literly the same day I smoked it, my anger melted away, and was more friendly towards other humans (and animals). It also made me see the bigger picture, that the universe is bigger than just me
@Thom3ss I have created this video to speak about my view on consciousness-altering drugs and plants --> SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTENMENT USING PLANTS, CHEMICALS, ALCOHOL, AND DRUGS
Chemicals and plants can interact with parts of the brain to cause various experiences in our perception or even cause our body to eject our spirit (OOBE). Any of these experiences can be had naturally without the aid of a substance.
@Thom3ss The substance can make the experience happen quicker however the use of an external aid does not produce self-mastery. It can aid in opening us up to greater experiences. But the final goal should be self-mastery without the use of external means.
There is also the danger of a person not being psychologically healthy or prepared prior to the use of the substance, which can result in psychological trauma, deeper fear and harm.
@Thom3ss My own opinion is more akin to that of a scientists and less like that of a religious moralist. I see the purpose of external aids, their benefits and limitations, their risks and potential harm. I respect everyone's free will to explore reality as they chose. Namaste. All is One.
Heavens! As soon as you started speaking, a shudder passed through me, as if my third eye was trying to open, and my eyes were riveted to the screen the whole time!
@dharmaseed It has long been known that the energy of a teacher is far more valuable to the student than his/her words. I wish you the best. Blessings and Love.
Interesting,He looks like the West's idea of Jesus, but that means nothing if he has not realised himself. You dont have to be good looking to be realised.
He didn't blink much which is a good indication of a still mind.
I'm not sure about this channeling business, where is it coming from, some disembodied mind? Mind is not who we are so we have to be careful..
As I understand it,the self /ego is an mind made idea and this is what the Buddha realised.
@eaglerock999 You can learn more about the Higher Self by visiting my website CHANNELHIGHERSELF (dot) COM and clicking on WHAT IS THE HIGHER SELF?
Many spiritual teachers have themselves reached and spoken about 'The Higher Mind' or 'Super Mind'. When the personal ego is sufficiently purified then the Universal Consciousness begins to express itself directly through the person, unfiltered by the personal ego.
@eaglerock999 Not blinking is a sign of a steady mind, but no physical signs can be relied up to determine spiritual awakening.
The only way to tell how awakened a person is, is to notice how simply being around this person makes you feel. It is the non-physical communication that is more accurate than the physical. Words and looks easily deceive. The energy of Divine Love is much harder to fake.
Also, we have no true idea what Jesus looks like. Blessings and Love.
In deep Samadhi meditation I found that the subject, that I identified as "me", disappeared...
All I found was a stream of consciousness...
And in everyday "thought-bound" living, all I found was a loosely bundled collection of thoughts memories and images - always in flux - but no static being generating them...
@Hammersley1967 There is no permanent ego (a personal idea of our self), but there is experience within Consciousness. This cannot be denied. There is no separate self, just the One in expression and experience. The experience and the experiencer are One united experience in every moment. No separation, just One. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Namaste.
"All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become."
*Buddha
And yet, it is difficult paradox to grasp that it is all driven by totally impersonal processes which have been caused and conditioned by previous processes...
@Hammersley1967 Often the more we think about the mind, self vs not self, ego, etc.... the more we simply add layers and layers within the mind. This is why silent meditation has always been used to quiet/silence the thoughts and dissolve the mind. Thinking about enlightenment will never take a person there. Only by surrendering everything will we experience Awakening.
"You find nothing. In all that collection of mental hardware in this endless stream of ever-shifting experience all you can find is innumerable impersonal processes which have been caused and conditioned by previous processes. There is no static self to be found; it is all process. You find thoughts but no thinker, you find emotions and desires, but nobody doing them. The house itself is empty. There is nobody home."
Hinduism ecompasses all levels of spirituality. At the highest level,it encourages looking for GOD within, ie the self. Therefore hindus find it easy accept all religions because they are all valid, depending on where one is, in the journey to discover oneself.
Continued... Since Sanskrit is the oldest written language as far as religions being written down, as far as organized religions are concerned, it would be Hinduism.
Buddhism states that 'all religions are Buddhism' (which IS NOT 'worship of anything,' except as worship is done when "following the Awakened Ones"). Truth is not just 'what you follow,' but also 'how you follow it'; so all truths are true as they are MADE true.
the self and not self are both correct everything in the cosmos works in binary opposites that compliment one another dark/light hot/cold good/evil ect; humans are made up of two internal mental aspects the self or pure mind counsciousness and intelligence that is an eternal aspect of the divine supreme intelligence of the cosmos and the not self or ego mind which is an aspect of our lower origins mainly animal instincts that center around survival and self perservation. pure mind is true self.
@MrAnonymous50 I don't have any beliefs or follow religions. I live based upon my personal experience. I meditate to allow the Universe to teach me about who I am and what life is. Relaying on someone else's beliefs or concepts blocks our own ability to create true learning. Let the Universe teach you and you will learn so much more than any religion or conceptual system can show you. You have a direct connection to Source within. Why rely on second hand information. Discover truth within.
@MrAnonymous50 Nearly all of the world's religions have the Truth within them. I have studied all the major and many smaller religions and found those who know.
Even the great sage Ramakrishna studied many religions and found that they teach the Truth of who we are. A story says that he even grew a tail when he studied Hanuman. :o)
Follow your heart and you will always be on the right path to your awakening. The truth is within. Spiritual teachings help us to go within and discover.
"I'm a follower in Hinduism, and i believe it's the righteous path."
But it is ONLY a path...
As a human construct, religion MAY point to truth, but it is not truth...
"Truth has nothing to do with words. Truth can be likened to the bright moon in the sky. Words, in this case, can be likened to a finger. The finger can point to the moon’s location. However, the finger is not the moon. To look at the moon, it is necessary to gaze beyond the finger"
@MrAnonymous50 Thank you. We often judge ourselves and others, wondering if some other spiritual path will be better for us. We often think that we are not already perfect. We think that something "out there" can make us better.
The truth is that we are already before, but we simply are not choosing to see our perfect Self. Rather we are focusing on the temporal world and thinking we are this. When in truth we are eternal Self and all is eternal Self.
@MrAnonymous50 Calling it "Self" or "not Self" does not matter. These are just words. The mind can get caught onto judgments and miss the truth that many spiritual teachings are pointing us at.
The Truth of who we are is beyond all words. That is why many cultures and many times have taught about this Truth.
Thank you for sharing yourself with me. Blessings and Love. Namaste my friend.
I think the guy in this video must read higher buddhism or " Abhi Dharmaya" first... then try to do his video again.. Siddhartha (before becoming buddha) was a student of many hindu and other religious teachers. He learnt a lot from them, becoming a master in those teachings. However, those teachings could not answer his ultimate question. How to end suffering. The states of mind one can reach through buddhism and yoga are around the same( not exactly the same though).
@viduramd Personal experience is the only genuine teacher. Other's words can help us. Other's methods can help us. But only first hand experience will awaken us to the Truth within.
Thank you for sharing your recommendations. If you study the history of Buddhism, you'll see that the Theravada schools went against the teachings of the Buddha.
@ChannelHigherSelf well.. it is wrong to say, 'theravadha went against the teaching of lord buddha... However, one should not confuse with the buddhist traditions these people created over generations.. they are completely "Wrong" .... And history of buddhism is a desputed topic. It is very hard to find the truth through the various texts since they are written with biased minds. I take lessons only from thripitaka. Not from any other text.. However, still, there are contradicting things....
@viduramd In his final talk, Buddha told his followers not to set up schools or monasteries. This split his followers into forest-dwellers and monks. The monks started Theravada. The forest dwellers kept the essence of Buddhism alive. The Buddha foresaw that formal rules and teachings would make it more difficult for people to awaken.
@viduramd You may find it beneficial to look into the later vehicles of Buddhism. By studying more of Buddhism's later developments, you can create the opportunity to arrive at a clearer understanding of what the Buddha taught.
Remember, Buddha's first formal teachings was simply holding up a flower. Only one man in thousands understood what the Buddha was teaching. Most published Buddhist teachings are of the mind and for the mind and cannot share the essence of what the Buddha taught.
Dear Dear Ones, Just a note to tell you how dear you dear ones are. You might think you are not dear. You might even think you are not a dear one. But you are wrong for thinking thus. You are dearer than the whitest teeth. You began life as a Sea Drone. Which is an anagram of Dear Ones. I am reading from the Book of Dear Ones. (Chapter Precious, Verse Vomit) Please kneel my precious Sea Drone (Dear Ones) and join me in singing today’s ditty: “I do love to be beside the Sea Drone”.
@thomsonjt919 This is evidence that my mind is thinking completely still while I communicate this message. Evidence that I am speaking from a higher mind than the personal ego mind. Namaste.
@ChannelHigherSelf Your mind cannot be 'thinking still'. When mind is thinking, it is not still. It is just a controlled flow of thoughts which doesnt relate to not blinking or blinking. But I believe you have reached those states of mind ( I do not know where u stand exactly) of which you have some controll over your mind. I believe you are ready, mentally and physically to try out buddhist meditation. Try it out. And try to atleast read some about Abhi Dharma in buddhism. Regards...

You will have many realizations as your awareness expands beyond identification with only your thinking mind.
Try not to form new identifications. But instead be fluid and allow your awareness to grow naturally.
