One reason the LG Dare touch screen is not responsive is because it uses pressure touch. Mean you need to press down a bit to get a response so no false touch will happen.

the reason the dare doesnt react to the touch is because it has a plastic screen over the real one, and the plastic screen it a little bit above the real screen, so you need to use it more to make the plastic screen more weaker
I have the dare, my friend got the 3Gs at the same time. I like the dare and its a good phone, but the iphone just seems to do everything better. In the end however, I got the dare for free with a $50 gift card, and my monthy plan is $20 less that it would have been for a iphone. So if money is no object take the iphone, otherwise the dare is a fine phone.
The main difference is the Dare touch can react to your nail or finger. I can even use a stick if I have to. The iphone only reacts to your finger. I tried a friends iphone and I tried using my nails and it didn't react. I still want the iphone when Verizon gets it, but I have a feeling it is a bigger learning curve and more sensitive then the Dare.
it just takes a while to break the dares screen in. on mine, i didnt update or anything, and i can tap thing as easily as i can on ipod. new ones have the touch problem

lg dare sucks. i have had it for 6 months, it has been replaced 4 times and once by insurance, so in total i have had 6!!!!!! I canceled my verizon and got the iphone, it ROCKS. love it, not problems, and i has video now

You cannot use the iphone with a stylus or in gloves because it uses electromagnetic field on your fingers to sense the touch. The Dares screen is more push sensetive, you have to push a little bit more on it, but that way you can use it with anything, fingers, gloves, stylus, anything that will press down on it a little. and no u dont have to push hard on it. Just a little harder then on the Iphone.

Maybe I'm lame but I think I'll opt for the Dare instead of waiting for the Storm because of its smaller size, plus I just don't think I need all of the features of the Blackberry. the only reason the sensitivit is better on the i phone is because its not pressure responsive thus making txting a bitch to use...plus the speaker on it makes all the music shitty and blurry....

First off, you CAN multitask on the iPhone 3G. I listen to music and stream over the internet all the time on my iPhone 3G.
Also, both phones have full qwerty keyboards.
Do more research next time.

yea i have the dare...it cost me $30 and its $25 a month with unlimited internet and Vcast..the dare wins almost same features for a lot less cash

my bro has the lg dare is a great but the touch screen isnt as good as the iphone but it is very satisfyin. in some ways the dare is better like the camra and multitasking. but in the end the voyager wins lol.

haha voyager is fat long and ugly. the dare is much better looking that voyager and smaller. it also has better features than voyager....dare is one of the best verizon phones there is. also i payed 130 for my dare not 300.....

i like both phones.. but i have Verizon so I'm getting the dare instead of changing my service provider. I'd rather have the iPhone though because i have an iPod touch and i love how the user interface is!!

wtf? i got my 16gb iphone for 299 and i only pay 109 a month... (89/month for 900 mins and unlimited nights and weekends plus data browsing (internet, email, etc.) + 20/month unlimited texting) so I dont know what you are talkin about

i have the dare and i like it.
It has the best camera ever and it is small and thin.
I like the iphone too but it is too big and the camera it's ok but at night time sucks!!!!

Maybe I'm lame but I think I'll opt for the Dare instead of waiting for the Storm because of its smaller size, plus I just don't think I need all of the features of the Blackberry. After watching this though I am a little worried about browsing quality since that's what I'll be using it for primarily.

ok the only the iphone has over the dare is the touch screen other then that the dare over all has better features..its pointless and stupid to watch movies and videos on ur phone thats what computers are for..i have the dare and wouldnt want to kill my battery just for a video....over both phones are great but the dare is a winner!!

Ummm... if u have verizon get a Dare... IPhone is rlly cool. Dare is more praactical but u get a good amount of features. such as drawing. drawing txt messages..etc. cool stuff like that. i have a a voyager and im satasfied cause i like to txt.. but its all up to you

if you don't really text and want great software. then go for the iphone. but beware that you always HAVE to use your finger on it! Unlike on the Dare..the Dare also has a much better camera with flash. they both have great sound quality..umm since you're with verizon, money wize go for the Dare! the iphone might seem cheep at first, but the monthly bill always includes $30 for the internet i'm sure..its required. also, you would have to bay about $200 to cancel your line or contract with VZ

the touch screen isnt that bad on the dare. but havent we all realized why the iphone has a better touch screen?. the iphone runs off of electromagnetic energy for the touchscreen to be activated. the dare runs off of the presseure sensitvity. and the dare has the ablity to change thew sensitivity on the touchscreen.
