Torres had no intent to injure, and no elbow came up. He clearly intended to destroy him but with his shoulder to chest. It ended up being shoulder to head, that's why I think it should be illegal, but its not .

..But to be fair, this one is probably Seabrook's fault. Why's he being so non-chalant on this play? And one of the intangible attributes of a goalie is influence, and Crawford shows some lack of hockey sense, gotta give your defense a heads-up on the weak-side there! Torres keeps his body fairly compact here from what it looks. The announcer called it as an "elbow to the jaw" but his elbow looked to hit right between the sturnum and the neck. Seeb's posture led to shoulder-to-head for sure

NHL referees are just so absolutely horrible it's hysterical. The shame is that the league office has to undermine them by giving obviously-warranted suspensions to hits that were head-scratchingly given as minor penalties within the game!! Like, what?!? As someone who's reffed hundreds and hundreds of youth and adult hockey games I've seen just about anything. These guys have reffed hundreds of pro games and they seem to have no idea how to use common sense

Wow, honestly the first time i saw this hit and after all the articles and stuff I saw on it and hearing the initial reaction by the announcers (read: Homers) I thought it would've been a cheap shot... Turns out Seabrook just didn't pick his head up. Clean hit, fine if you wanna call a penalty (I guess) but I agree with the 2 minutes if they're gonna call one.

That was a CLEAN hit. Torres didn't take any strides to build up speed before the hit (no charging), didn't leave his feet, and keep his elbow down. I don't even think there should have been a call. When Seabrook comes back, he better learn how to keep his head up and on a swivel - especially during the playoffs. The NHL needs to use some unbiased announcers for these games - listening to these two tards makes me me want to puke.

I HATE this ruling that is a totally clean hit! but just because it's a guy with a history of questionable hits he gets suspended. For the announcers, they need to get their facts straight. There was no elbow to the jaw. Torres keeps his arm to his body, doesnt leave his feet and hits him in the chest. This was just a CLEAN devastating hit that was given an interference penalty with the puck right there. Either way, Torres got what he deserved for a suspension...NOTHING. Nice hit.

This doesn't warrant suspension!!!! Jarret Stoll check on White earned him a game suspension. Bobby Ryan is suspended two games for a "wreckless" stomp. But this guy, who was already suspended for a similar hit, gets nothing for a shot to head and he isn't even attempting to play the puck. I'm not understanding these rules at all. If the Hawks do the exact same thing to one of the Sedins tomorrow night, then what? Campbell should call it both ways and not give a suspension to the hawks player

Why does a hitter need to attempt to play the puck? That is the dumbest argument. Seriously, I don't remember the last time someone delivered a huge body check, and played the puck right after. You hit to separate the player from the puck (which he clearly does here!), gain momentum and wear down a player.
the puck was within Seabrook's range, and being the only player around the puck at the time, he basically had possession of the puck.
