  • that's not a king cobra, that's an indian spectacled cobra....

  • no its a naja kouthia or monocle cobra

  • sorry man, but thats a naja kaouthia - a monocled cobra ;-)

  • Sory, not trying to pick on you, but that's very not a king. I don't doubt that the zoo had it labled as a king, but it isn't.

It might be a Chinese Cobra (Naja atra), but I think it's just a banded variant of a Monocled Cobra (Naja kaothia).

Some kings have banding, but none have a circular pattern on the back on the neck.

Do an image search on "Ophiophgus hannah" and you'll find lots of photos of kings and you'll easily be able to see that this is not one.

  • Dude I live in USA but i saw onein person because i came on a trip to india and it was cool i wish i could catch it but people were like NOO dont. It was wild one too.

  • that is a monocled cobra naja kaouthia not a king cobra you can see the monocle marking on the back of its neck

  • It is certainly a King Cobra because I've seen that very snake in person. It's at the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, South Carolina if I'm not mistaken, though you might like to ask the video poster to corroborate that for you.

  • thatsa monocled cobra but still really sweet snakes.

  • dude as far as i can see that is a classic indian cobra but feel free to correct me if i am wrong

  • lol yea that aint a king

  • thats not a king cobra, sorry.
